Your sentiments are much appreciated Abhi. yaar. It is everyone's wishes that matter to me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who posted their wishes on the birthday thread for me. I came here to acknowledge only to find it closed. Your wishes mean a lot to me and today is my actual birthday friends. Thank you all🤗🤗

Oh this is bad...I just got to know that it was Minali's birthday and since the thread is already closed, I can't even wish her there...Doesn't matter, I will wish her here itself... 😃...Having said that, I think the thread has been closed by mistake Abhi...May be you should send a PM to one of the Dev team members of DM...

Hi Minali,

Many Many Happy Returns of the Day...May God always Shower His choicest Blessings on you... 😃

Enjoy...

Cheers,
Raksha😊

I don't understand the reason for closing the birthday topic without any reason????

What if there is a birthday thread in some other section of this forum?

Is this single thread going to consume entire cyber space or is it going to disrupt the traffic of India Forums!!

Birthday is a nice day for any individual life!

Why the hell should the moderator have objection in having a thread in this section of the forum!!!

That thread in SRGMP is wrt the people of those section

and this is a seperate section and there is no rule that the people who come to debate mansion are going to parade all the sections of IF! So as Minali is the active member of this forum also ,a special thread for her in this section..what's the problem??????

Moderator ji!!

Just you are a moderator..it does'nt mean you can do whatever you want to do so...

When you restrict the topics of debate ..we accepted only for the reason...there is a reason..because some threads ..create non friendly environment....but what's the problem with a birthday thread!

Use some common sense before closing a topic!

If at all you have the ojections with birthday thread...as you always make a sticky announcement make some announcement "Don't wish people on the forum..wish them Only through PM's"!

Warn me or give me a note in an yellow box..or do whatever.. I don't mind..but I really hate this action of yours closing a birthday thread..on the birthday itself.....

Regards,

Mythili

Mythili, I understand your feelings because I felt the same way..But this is what I found when I thought a little deeper into it..It could be that, the moderator who closed it, closed it by mistake...You can still give a benefit of doubt and check through PM if you are concerned and hurt through her action...

I cannot comprehend this action either, but again, until the moderator herself comes and gives her explanation, we shldn't be judging her...What say??

For the future b'day threads, I would like the mods to close them with a closing note..Just the way Tisha does always..She always closes the thread saying we are closing this thread now since its been already 2 days(or whatever the no. days)...I think that's the polite way of closing a thread...

Raksha..... you are right this is a possibility..... but damage has been done..... the day has been ruined..... and the person who closed it went offline without checking my PM.......

anyways whether its by mistake or not..... i opened the topic not for bashing but as a debate topic about whether the action is correct.... just the same as we debate on the political actions in country😊

I feel its not correct to close a birthday thread on birthday date.... also its not correct to close it without letting know either the opener of thread.... or the person whose birthday is there... and even without reasoning in last post.... (unlike the other two threads she closed)😊

You are right Abhi..The thread cannot be closed on the b'day itself..Its rather rude to do that...

However, please don't say that the day has been ruined..Do you seriously believe that such an important day could be ruined by such petty stuff...Lets be bigger than the issue and find a solution to this...Lets see if we can get it opened by another GM or somebody else who is online and lets leave the person to do the explanation once she is again back online...Shall we??

It was inapt on Dev team's part to lock the birthday thread and there by hurting the birthday girl's sentiments. Minali is a member of this DM forum too and members here should have the right to wish her. Why should members here care if there is another thread somewhere else?

Debates should be serious but simple celebrations like this connect us as humanbeings.

Minali, Hope you have a wonderful day today dear. Have not interacted with you but read many posts of yours and found them articulate and sensible.

Wish you a wonderful Birthday🥳

Yes I agree! Tania Mam! Closes the topic in a decent manner after the birthday😊...

Whatever....I feel bad for the way Moderator ji has closed the topic....giving a note ..like a packed birthday gift😛 to Kabhijit 😊!!

Things which are against the wishes of the people will not run properly even if you are a development team member....I know it by practical experience😉😛.

I do respect all the people in Dev team ...including Vijay ji......I'm not against moderator but the act of moderator.....😛
