Announcing Debate Champoinship-updt pg 13

Heyy everyone!!

We've had Debate Championships in the past so I am sure many of you are familiar with the procedure. In case you you weren't around when we last had this competition or if you forgot, here is a refresher:

Debate Championships are team debates. There will be three members on each side. Only these six members and NO ONE else may take part in the debate. Members will be given 48 hours after the thread is started to debate. This includes, making statements and rebuttals. Once the 48 hours are over, the topic will be closed and judges (they wont be announced until the competition is over) will go through the thread and pick their favorite debator, runner up and the best team.

The topic is Euthanasia/Mercy Killing.

I need 3 people for (Yes, Mercy Killing is justified) and 3 people against (No, Mercy Killing is not justified).

The date has for the competition has not been decided yet. Once we have our 6 participants, we will decide on a date that suits them best.

In this thread, state if you would like to participate and on which side you will debate. Also, if anyone has any questions, comments or concerns regarding anything related to debate championships, post them here.

there will be 3 debators for each side....we already have one for each side so far...i'll add u in the "for" side...once we get 1 more person in favor of mercy killing and 2 people against it, we can coordinate the date so it suits all 6 of you. Then, you will have 48 hours after I open the topic to debate. You and your other 2 teammates can pre-plan how you want to distribute the debate/reseach. Remember, this is a competition so u want to try ur best to out-debate the otherside. But most of all, have fun

i think if we specialise debate to particular situation it would be more enthusiastic debate as people would strive to reach a point and can accept few of eachother's points too.... the generalisation is quite wide....

if for team says that the person is not in good healthy condition and takes mercy killing....

the otehr team may say that u are advocating suicide.... even law is against it.... this are completely different perspectives.... generalisation will make the debate too subjective IMO 😊

we arent limiting them to a certain scenario...but the idea of mercy killing in general...those who support it see it as releving the person of physicial pain while those who are against it see it as murder/suicide. Theyt will debate to support their views😊
