Is patriotism an over rated emotion these days???
A sense of patriotism and honour should always be there, so it's not actually overrated. Maybe, some political parties and leaders for their personal interest make it a bigger public issue than necessary.
When the independence day (Aug 15) date nears .... the sense of Indian ness and patriotism is overly displayed in the print and electronic media.
I agree, there're some topics which are extensively discussed only at this time of the year, but don't you feel if it went around throughtout the year it would lose some of it's flavour and might even turn boring.
Indepence is a long process and lakhs of people contributed to it and why is it that only someleaders and some issues are given importance??
Well the ruling party which majority of the times has been Congress, obviously tries to portray their leaders as the most important, nothing to be surprised about there.
Who are the over rated leaders particulary regarding Indian Indepence?Did'nt independence struggle exist before Gandhi ji ?
Easy, Jawaharlal Nehru.😃
Who are the leaders not acknowledged properly till date?
I don't know about the rest of India, but in Bengal we studied about each and every prominent freedom fighter with equal importance, doesn't matter which state or which party. So, in my mind all are properly acknowledged, maybe commonly people tend to remember some names more than the others.
