Professionalism?

Does professionalism account for criteria of respect irrespective of age? YES or NO??

A . Forget age thing professionals are professional - respect thing is zero value.

B. Professional should follow basic norms of ethics, and respect peers based on experience.

Take A or B ... OR YES or NO?

The questions are going over my head. 😭

Respect has nothing to do with age; respect people for what they are, and esp. if the person fits ones criterian for 'ideal' behavior. We respect/adore the people we like more. No idea what I am talking about.

Age doesn't make one wiser. I dislike people who demand respect for their age. They can take liberty to ask for help / suggest something in an informal setting.. but must not demand respect.

Professionalism is always respectworthy. w/o a doubt.

this goes to elders and the younger ones also. if followed, it will cover the professional interaction and the personal too. it is a tit for tat kind of situation.

Hear yaa guys! tangent - In professional work why should anything come in way when one is focusing on actions that benefit the company. Respect does give $'s, does it?

People should be respected no regardless of age.

"Treat people how you want to be treated".

Everyone should act professional in their personal or professional life IMHO.

Agreed. Someone who isn't giving due respect to the people around s/he will never be called profesional. Professionalism is all about consideration and appreciation of the people around us.

I guess those who are respected are the ones who command some respect automatically.. But its always good to respect people...If u want soem back...

Everyone deserves respect regardless of their age or position. Age shouldnt be a decisive factor in a professional environment. However, the level of respect one earns in personal matters often has a direct relationship to the person's age.
