Asked colleague to work on something critical at 1PM, but all he said was I cann't live with workout, am addicted, if won't go then won't be able to work.

This is guy is fit and all, his response surprised me, wasn't in best interest of the employer. Felt cann't, I stop him someone to work now, rsther then fulfilling his addiction of workouts. And this thought came in mind.

Should all addiction in life be banned by law??

how can addiction be banned by law? 😆 😆
Raj, hello!
You can fire him for not being productive in his job.
Law can't ban addiction to working out / chatting / lying/ flirting / substance abuse / music so on and so forth.
If addiction was banned by law, you and I would have been inmates for breaking the law for past 4 months 😉 😉

Baapre!! 😆😆 I am addicted to coffee, nature walks, IF, etc. etc. so......😆😆 What is life without few addictions! I think what you are saying above is that the employee cannot live without workout, am I correct? 😆😆

Sometimes at workplace they have workout classes during lunch hour and some people get addicted to it as its their stress relief from work. I wonder if this was the case with this employee? Or was he just trying to flunk work?

To summize we should not ban all the addictions by law!! Yikes.....😆😆 Live n let live kya??😉 😆😆

😆Baapre 😆 Ye u are correct! whats workout VS professional work!

Well in this case there was realization of commitments to work.

At any cost ?? 😉 😆

Any kind of addiction which comes in the line of duty towards family, professional career, relationships should be curtailed. If the addiction continues to foster then it can seriously hamper ones life and along with it their families.
