Few post related to Woolmer's case.

Its been made clear Woolmer was murdered, authorities basically tried to hide the facts.

Coach murdered on a world cup venue, with all the possible security. Clearly shows insiders involvement.

In this pretext should the world cup continue or should in the name of the game and in respect of innocent should further proceedings for the cup be stopped?

This world cup seized to attract my attention for more than one reason..

1.Early exit of India- obvious reason.

2.Looooooongest world cup ever..Very borrrring..Lost track of who is playing with whom....Its quite confusing after a while..😕A horrible format...

3.Australia being so indestructible..😒..I am truly hating that..Not that I am jealous of Australia or anything like that..But them being able to shoot through like a breeze, making me loose the interest in the game itself, if you know what I mean..There is absolutely no thrill factor anymore..🤢

I will be honest to say that Late Mr.Bob Woolmer's death would be the last and least reasons for the world cup to be stopped..These kind of failures do happen in such mega events and yes the possibility of some insiders' involvement is quite horrifying and really despicable..But not a reason enough to stop the event...

In any case I am against to stopping the world cup....The game should go on!😃

Your reasons 1,2,3 I would say game should go on... but a cricketing coach has been killed during the proceedings and it is evident authorities tried to supress this issue.. obviously shows how the whole game is rigged... honest players has a good chance to step up and take a bold step to curb the wrong doings for future...

Personally I feel that the World Cup should atleast have been postponed. But with the high stakes involved it would have been a logistics nightmare to tamper with the schedule and so they went on with it. The least they can do is to dedicate the event to his memory or play a memorial match at the end of the tournament !

I hope the real truth behind his murder can be found out. Latest is that he was poisoned and then strangled!

No, but how is that a sign of rigging??Am I not aware of some facts here yet???If they are sure about that, then yes, obviously the game has to be stopped...What's the confusion about it???

Anshuman,

No one will have the courage to stand up and admit that match fixing is happening...but certainly something really dark seems to have taken over the game!

1. Pakistan lost to ireland - obvious match fixing.. seeing sequence of events. Result of Post morterm of Wlm' were not disclosed in public, suspicion was there but none of the authority confirmed, it was a murder for long, why?

2. Pakistan's board members at high position resigned even before murder was declared why? they all knew there is something fishy...

3. When the whole floor was secured and batch accessed, security camera vigil - players and suthority knew kya hua?

All three above and may be mores simply says - big time money and power is involved not only at low but higher level - gives a feeling the whole arena is rigged with final aim to earn money. Game is not stopped becuase Indies will loose reputation of hosting a international even - high stakes and govt involved. basically its a big fiasco, player must be in immense pressure to take any kind of decision, another problem is fear to stand up - u never know.

@ Ashu - I agree don't totally stop atleast postpone the event.

Why do you say that?? The very next day the authorities declared that it's a case of suspected homicide.

Cancelling the event would be easier than to postpone it. Schedules of all the major teams are usually fixed for the next two to three years, adjusting an almost two month long event in there would be extremely difficult.
