Last one, I promise, myself! 😆

Today, I read an article on evolution of humans, and how we can trace ourselves back, all can be told when we came to posess learning skills, etc. from how brain has grown in different species, from genes and brain structure, etc. There was an interesting sentence in there.... it was said that all this new info. was certainly defeating Bible's version of how god put man on earth, etc. It also went onto say how it is not as simple as how religion puts it, but neither is it as easy as science thinks it to be!

why are science and religion always at log-heads? Both notions can be accepted... science can't explain the origin of 'first' life, does it? I don't know any. So, the big bang.... I think god did it 😆 😳 ... something higher has to exist... how does life form spontaneously????? 😕 And science can surely explain the steps, but only guess on the why's. NO concrete reason, right? Both science and religion can be accepted at the same time. 😕

Also, in the article was sentence on how we always think of survival of the fittest (human were preys at one time 😃 )... about agression and all, but survival of the fittest also comes out of feeling sense of security in a group, and from bonding.... IF this is how the human ancestors survived, and indeed can the theory be validated... it should do good for 'peace' missions over people fighting wars for no good reason!!!

Lots going on, your thoughts?😛

Origin of life can be speculated. Evolution is so well-evident and documented that I wonder how it can be ignored / argued. "Mother Nature" is the mystery yet unsolved by science and forever may be! Scientists don't deny / undermine the power and force of it.
But there is no doubt about where we came from. Evolution is real.

There is a tendency for people to make calculated judgements about the unknown. Whereas Science does it with limitations there is still a chance of speculation involved... The studies done by Darwin and his findings really look convincing and I for one trust them.. Take for example survival of the fittest is quite a logical rule even today...What I dont quite feel convinced about the ability of a creature to transform through generations of adaptibility.... To me evolution is as much of a speculation as God putting creatures on the earth... but for the well-known names in Science it would be difficult to believe in these theories...

I totally support the theory of evolution! I don't believe in a supreme power! but that's just my beliefs! as for the whole arguments between science believers and god believers...well everyone likes to know where there life is going and that they have the answers to where they came from b/c it makes them feel secure...so they argue to prove themselves right and make themselves feel better! as for me I believe we all evolved slowly and there was no god that made us! And I am okay with not knowing all the answers and with the fact that when I die, I'll just be ashes!I know this is turning really morbid...sorry for that! But I think it's kay for people to believe in god and evolution...the two theory can coexist! I think answer lies in our own imagination and intellect! Take whatever fancies you from each theory and believe it..therefore free will!! hope I answered the topic and didn't go off haywire into some philosophical talk of nothing! 😃

Even i support evolution and all those theories are very much convincing. There is still research going on on the origin of life and the question remains unanswered even today. We do have the theory stating that how earth was formed and how molecules came together and formed organic substances but it is still unknown that what exactly made that cluster of organic material to live and grow. Was it something supernatural or was it just some mysterious kind of phenomenon? Don't know!.

what do you think of idea of 'man' being hunted once upon a time? Also, from the article, it seems like cause human ancestors started forming groups, and socializing, to keep themselves alive, and hence became predators. Cooperation = survival, rather than being agressive... I find this idea really neat; if proved valid, we should learn... esp. warring nations. Also, suggesting formation of first society?????

Well Man was hunted, and that was when he was weak and stupid, then they formed groups as the article said and we have enough proof to believe that. Even today we can see that Gorillas move in groups and so did man, but evolution was not taking at some particular part of the world but all over and this created some differences in the behaviour of the humans from different parts coz of their surroundings. Even if we prove the point 'Cooperation = survival' valid, there are lot of groups with different views and bringing them together might be a lot difficult.
