Make decisions...

Just giving up on people, who just bank on you for every decision, background:

Adopt good things from others. Without considering you can be best. Copy everything from friends without considering personal preferences, some folks just copies whatever you do – same car/furniture/dresses/ dcor. Singers copying style of popular singers. Mimickery.
1. Some people in college just follow your color combination of clothes and style

I understand 7 th point in the best seller "9 th points to be successful" is follow friends but copying everything, is soo eeksss. LOL.. I hate same couch/car/linens at my friends, later they question me what was the reason? – come on guys freedom of thought…and stopped buying anything till they are done…lol

Originality or follow others to play safe banking on others? Originality even if you have a gut feeling is not acceptable or right way (low self confidence/esteem)

Yes it feel really wierd when you find people copying you specially in matters related to your personal life... cloth , couch etc. 😆 believe me still then you could feel the difference
I would say , one can take inspiration but has to apply according to the specific circumstances,which could be entirely different.
No one can copy a person completely , and get the equal results.... yes take lesson from experiences ... but apply it accordingly . if one estate agent ditched your friend you don' t need to follow him .. just take lesson .. choose some one else 😆

You exactly know what am talking about here... 😃 I so agree, estate agent is most appropiate example, even if she ditched me people want to take her advise and tell me about things.. come on guys, go get someone else when I already told she isn't good.

LOL... I was fed up with same couch/decor at friends same as mine, I wait and once everyone is done do my thing to be called rebel these days..lol.. don't mind it...

reason behind such an attitude might be the fear of failing in a situation...or lack of guidance and role model.... or the "TREND" thing has got its roots here too My mom is pretty creative at home decor.. and when someone copies her ideas[happened zillion times] ... you can imagine her anger 😆 😆

I just can't understand the Trend thing 😕 Is it a fashion to follow others on EVERYTHING 😕 Can someone explain this?? 😕

If som 😊 ebody copies you means you are doing good and you are role model...Original will remain original and if you are creative you can creat thousand of different thing ...don't be upset and think how good your things are ..I know it's not easy to think like that but people tend to follow the things they like ..not everybody can be creative so they want to play safe ..so they copy your trend ...

In this world there are two types. some Leaders and there are some Followers. Some lacks the initiative in being unique and some just love to blend in depending upon their comfort zone. Some are assertive and full of confidence and some just lack that bit of substance. Nothing wrong with either. What ever makes one happy.

There are things we all can learn and adapt from other people. But copying is not being unique. These days I see alot of copying in the name of being unique 😆 IMHO. 😳

i don't mind being copied anymore.
it used to bother me when i was growing up.

I am original in my own right but I do try to take good qualities of other people in me.... it does nt mean coying someone, its just selfimprovement..... afterall u started your life with copying.... i meam self-improvement 😉 😆

I'm very specific about my style whether its teaching,writing,painting,cooking,decorating or anything!!!! I don't mind others copying myselves because I'm unique and my styles are unique and wierd😆!!! I make it a point to make a mark in every aspect /field I choose😊!!!

Regarding copying!!! I copy some aspects of immensely perfect people!! One is my Big B,my Sir Dr PS and in this forum ofcourse Dr AS!!! Following their footsteps is not copying!!! However each person in this world is unique and no matter however you try to copy you cannot become the person you are copying!!

Hehe Maryam,on the contrary,my mother is over the moon when someone appreciates her work,be it her cooking or her sarees.....Most people LOVE to be copied,because imitation is the BEST form of flattery,provided,one is given the credit for it....My mom would see red if anyone apes her style WITHOUT giving credit😆

The ones who are the most aped are celebrities....Personally,I wouldnt mind trying out aa fashion statement made by someone else,GIVEN the person's personal style suits me....Likewise i wouldnt mind adopting a modus operandi another student has chalked out,given it can be successfully be incorporated into my scheme of things....It boils down to personal convenience and what is germane to one's life.

I second that.If its conducive and contributive,why not??But I disagree that people who follow others lack initiative and creativity.Creativity and non conformism isnt a surefire recipie for success,sometimes one CAN be successful by clinging on to the platitudes and old fashioned shibboleths too.
