Do I support the queer community?

Yes. Plain and simple.

The only thing I don't support is self id to get into female only spaces and reducing being a woman to a 'feeling' or a 'costume'. It needs a very nuanced discussion and unfortunately here (EU and UK) any attempt to have it is reduced to 'call for a genocide'. Not kidding, in some cases I've seen people not introducing themselves with their 'pronouns' also being called as transphobic and genocide supporters 🤡

For those who are genuinely interested in learning more about it (instead of being superficial allies for clout) should try watching some of Kathleen Stock's debates/interviews.

She is the right example of supporting the queer and trans community without letting women rights being compromised.

Here's to hoping that some sense prevails in the West before the loony lefties in India pick this up as their next cause. God knows both the public and political discourse will be at it's lowest and it will cause immense backlash for the LGB and the kinnar community as well.

I support human beings in need of support no matter the label society (or themselves) had put on them.

It doesn't matter to me what sexual orientation someone has as long as the person doesn't harm anybody because of the sexual orientation.

I think that answers the question 😎

I support LGBTQIA+ because I support humanity❤️, and I support because minorities need to be supported and they deserve equal rights.🤗

Having said that, I do have opinions on some of the things.

  1. I still believe segregation in physical sports should be on the basis one's biological sex and one's hormone levels in the body.
At the end of the day, an average Transwoman is going to have physical advantage over a average woman , because of the difference in hormone levels, I remember even many biologically women with abnormal or high levels of testosterone used to get rejected because it leads to an unfair advantage in physical sports.
Similarly a Transman or someone with low testosterone levels will be at a huge disadvantage competing with an average man.

I believe there are many sensible Transman/Transwoman out there who do not support this movement, because it has nothing to do with

  2. I also think kids should be allowed to be kids, and if they do not fit in with the societal or gender norms then we should allow them to figure out their orientation/identiy until they're in their teens. We should treat all children with love and respect and should teach them to do the same to other kids.

  3. And any surgical change on one's body should not be allowed till they're 18, because it's reversible. After 18, it should be no one's business on what someone wants in their life.

  4. I personally feel that if the Gay/Bi/Lesbian community had used the work "Union" or "Association" instead of the word 'marriage' for their relationships and asked the government to legalize their union/association between 2 consenting adults and asked for similar rights as a "married couple", then it would've been a far easy fight.
It might have opened up the minds of our orthodox and traditional society far more easily. Using the term "Gay Marriage" attracted unnecessary hate because it was bound to create controversies.
Love is love at the end of the day, and getting legal recognition as a couple is more important than getting the "marriage tag".

Now just because I have this opinions, doesn't mean I am homophobic/transphobic. I have no prejudice against LGBTQIA+ community, but if a person is rude, judgmental, unprofessional etc, then I am not going to like them and it does not matter to me whether they're straight, gay, Bi, Trans or anything.

What I don't associate myself with is the Transphobia and Homophobia. I think hating a community just for their existence is INHUMAN, and I hate people who do that.

I identify as someone who doesnt care about other people. No one can question my identity 😆
