Afghanistan due to its geographic location has strategic importance to Russia, China and US (and by extension its allies in the West). It's all about energy transactions, oil & gas pipelines and who gets dominate that entire landmass.
India, as the 3rd largest economy in terms of PPP, 5th or 6th largest economy by GDP and as 4th largest of armed forces, of course plays a much more important and influential role on the world stage than Pakistan so you'd need to give specific examples why you think otherwise.
I'm talking about world politics, west seas china as threat even pakistan and iran, afghanistan dominate western politics and India is not mentioned much unless its for people having a bath in ganges causing widespread disease.

Because India isn't a threat, or isn't a colony of the West?
Israel and Palestinian conflict is talked about, Kashmir and India conflict is only talked about in India and Pakistan but no one really mentions it outside of Indian subcontinent and india sees themselves as world superpower lol
Well, you are not alone in the sentiment that India doesn't receive sufficient recognition on the world stage. More than 63% of surveyed Indians felt that India should be respected more. Interestingly, even 56% of Chinese think that their country should be more respected. FWIW, these are emerging superpowers so the ones who feel slighted should give it a couple of more years / decades to see where things stand in terms of power shifts and international attention.
I haven't actually read each and every article ever published in "western media", and neither have you, to come to the conclusion that the Israel-Palestine conflict garners, or has garnered, more media coverage than the Kashmir conflict. In any case, as far as India is concerned, the Kashmir issue is just a manufactured conflict that merits no debate or discussion, so the less press this specific issue gets the better for India.
Because India doesnt hold economic or geopolitical power in that sense. Historically also, India has been non aligned in cold war as well. Chian rose as an economic power and also trying to influence many other countrie so world is giving them lot of importance. World depends on China so they have to give it importance.
Now Pakistan and Afganistan has perfect geographical location. For thousands of years, they were on very important silk road. They connect Asia to Europe thtough middle east. This can be very important oil/gas route. In modern times, they acted as client states to big powers. Pakistan got very big military and army after partition from India. The share of military power they received was much bigger than share of land they had after partition. They needed to use that. So they quickly went to USA camp in cold war. ISI and CIA then used Afganistan against Soviet.
Big powers always need small client states. Now Pakistan is changing its camp from USA to China. Afganistan and Pakistan provide that but India being non alligned doesnt attract much attention from West. India is not great economic power like China as of now. So In politics it gets ignored. But India gets lot of attention from Western companies bcause it is a big market with young 1.2 billion people.

Bold - Why was that? Who made that decision...
I was decided by Congress and All india Muslim league and was monitorred by British.
It was basically the division of British Army in India. Traditionally British army had more Muslim men as they used to recruit from Punjab-Sindh area. So post partition Muslim men went in Pakistan army and Hindu+Sikh came to Indian army. The divide was such that, land of Pakistan+Bangladesh was less than 1/3rd of India but they got army which is more than half of India.
It is said that it is division based on religion or army men but my opinion is a bit different here. I believe British made sure that subcontinent remained divided by doing this. During partition, there was a bit mild approach from All India Congress where many believed that in few years Pakistan would come back to India as they will realize we are same people and religion is not the reason. Many congress leaders even said this on public platform. This made British concerned. So British, gave more army to Pakistan so that Indian being large doesnt take over Pakistan in future and two coutries remain divided. As fas as Pakistan is concerned, they also got insecure by Indian leaders comments and invested a lot in bargain adn building extra army right after partition.
This is also a reason why Pakistan never had true civilian governemnt and it is controlled by their army. Army in Pakistan has more power than prime minister and to be a prime minister you need army's support. It is not a true democracy.
