Ash had tough competition with Kajol, Madhuri and Juhi and Kajol and Madhuri's acting was more appreciated by public. Ash did go outside India to find work and fame which Big B did'nt need to. He is an actor and work comes to him; he doesn't go around the world looking for work. Who says Big B is not famous around the world. There were more croud on World Premiere of KANK in Canada just to meet Big B in September 2006 and there were only 300-400 people for World Premiere of GURU. Another difference was, KANK was already in the Theatres but Guru was not released Yet. Bachchan and Rai names are not even remotely close to each other. But since now they Abhi and Ash are getting married, Bachchan will even be a bigger name.

Never said Ash is as good as Bacchan or Kajol or Madhuri. But she is much more known when it comes to number of people all over the world(may be not in terms of "fans")and achieved more on International level. She was on "Time"'s 100 people list. She has achieved a lot compared to others on international level. Of course people of India and NRI's appreciate Big B more than her, even me. Taking about Hindi film premiere, maximum are NRIs.

You are mistaken here, I am not talking about popularity but who is more common house-hold name all over the world and not just Hindi movie watchers. What I mean is, someone posted that Ash is marrying ABjr. for the name "Bacchan", which I don't think is the case coz she does not need a "Bacchan" tag to be rich and famous. She is already a big achiever and she is in a commanding position to select a partner of her own choice.

Okay you are trying to say whatever Ash has achieved on International level all went to vain. Big B is like a God in Bollywood and also gets a lot of respect where there are NRI's and SE Asians. But tell me what has Big B achieved other than being the Biggest Superstar ever of India. At least I tried to put some fact which made Ash a known figure to many, can you give some examples to make me understand that non-hindi movie watchers also know him. My previous boss, an American, knows Ash(he thinks very pretty) due to 'Bride and prejudice", never heard him mentioning Big B.

Everyone actor/actress dreams to be a part of Hollywood, but oppotunity knocks at the door of very few. Even if you get the opportunity, that does not gauarantee success.

Do you think a beauty like Ash needed a Miss India crown to be a part of Bollywood? She was already a successful model, and before being a Miss India/ World she already posed in (also with famous heroes) covers and photo sessions of all Indian Film magazines.

Majority of People standing up in the line up at Internationsal Film Festival ( Including Canadians) since monring with me to go in the Theatre were saying: We don't care about SRK, we are here to visit Big B. I am not saying that there were not enough fans of SRK, but here the discussion is about Bachchan and Rai.

You are excused, but topic wasn't even SRK, but you brought hin in too. When we discuss actors and actresses, somewhere along the line, we do tend to name some actors for example sake but not to compare, but most of the thread went on comparing Bog B and Ash and I went along with them. You can ignore our discussion, if you don't like any names mentioned.
