What brownie points are you talking about. An army of IT cell trolls is unleashed upon anyone who talks anti-establishment/pro-Muslims. Read the timelines of Swara Bhasker, Sonam, Deepika when she stood up for JNU students, etc. The most vicious things are said to these women. Being an actress for 6 years, I am sure Kiara is well aware that there will be a mixed reaction to a political post. But considering it was her first post of this kind, may be she got too much hate, so she took it down.
