Since all travel is shut down, they'd have done well to stay at home and instead try and find out from authorities how they could be supported, in terms of rent/housing, income and so on.

Going out in crowds in order to try and get hold of buses to get home was the wrong way of doing it, given the importance of social distancing. All they would have done would have been to spread it to family members once they got home

The 19 number denotes the year that the virus was discovered - it was in December last year. Not sure what Covid stands for, but it's the name of the pathogen in question

The SARS pathogen was called Covid-2 since that happened in 2002

Yeah the whole social distancing & lockdown doesn't seem to improve the numbers to be honest. The numbers are in fact going up to the point by now. My region has 100K+ cases at this point. Though more people have recovered, it's a shame that 6000+ have passed from this disease. I have relatives & family friends in Mumbai & even they feel that the cases are going to rise high.

I particularly hate the "so-called predictions" made by the gov't just to scare people off. Like, they say people should expect more disaster & stuff etc & this is scaring people off more than COVID-19 at this point.

Where do you live? Your place cases looks terrifying.

I want everything to be okay. China needs to be taught a lesson. They are shamelessly selling bats, dogs, cats again in markets.

Where would they go? These people had no homes. Their companies and makaan maalik's threw them out. Why did not government out them in shelter houses like they do with orphans, acid attack victims, thrown out old people? Or at least make place for them in some closed schools or factories.

Well, if it were bio-terrorism, the results wouldn't be much different.

However, according to a paper from a Wuhan institute which was investigating the source, this was an accidental release of the virus from one of their 2 labs dealing w/ virulogy and disease control. It did not originate in their wet markets, since the horseshoe bat, which was the source carrier of this virus, is not native to Wuhan. They were being analyzed in one or both of the above labs, and the virus accidentally got released.

However, Beijing's secrecy in the release of all of this has caused what could have been contained within Wuhan to blow up into a worldwide pandemic

Currently no nation is a position to do so .

It can be only done when the people of the world join together and pledge not to use anything made by Chinese. We can bycott them economically .
