After a couple of glasses of wine, it tends to taste quite horrible to me. Same for beer too. The first and second glass taste great.

Some Saivite followers take Bhang or other drugs to reach higher levels of consciousness ... and end up being a drug addict too. Not sure if it works but they soon meet their Creator ! 😆

I've heard that about wine, some say they feel terrible the next day after wine-fest but great after vodka 😆

I am guessing the additives in wine could be the problem, vodka on the other hand (like tequila) is just alcohol and water :-)

Let me come to my point...it is a pure BELIEF that god exists or atleast there is some power that controls us...our feelings.etc...but wat does religion have to do with that...I mean if am a hindhu why shud I only pray to shiva, lord krishna, ganapathi, etc?????????why shudnt I worship jesus or allah?????...why shud i only go to temples and not to churches mosques etc..????????I believe that we all know why we go to such places of worships...to attain peace...talk to god about our problems ...stay calm ,quiet ...relieve all the tensions..etc...so if i ,,being a hindu goes to a church and pray to jesus then will jesus think that ..:"oh she is not a christian...then why shud I hear her troubles.."?...Is it so??????...i dont think so...!!!!!!.well wat do u guys think..????????...is religion a necessary criteria for worshipping god..afterall GOD IS ONE...!!!!!!!!!

Whether it is ancient medieval or modern world ...we cannot deny the fact that a supreme power is controlling the universe.
The fact that science has still not found the mystery behind death.
Which makes us believe that there is GOD-The One who doesnt have any partners.
If u believe in one supreme power then you are a believer.
We dont need to visit religious places to believe in God.
He's present with us all the time.U can pray to him right here and he listens.

He always responds to the invocations that r from the depth of heart.
So believe only in what ur soul finds peaceful.
God has always asked us to use our reasoning ability n not to accept anything blindly.

I pray that Almighty guides u to truth.

Think its unfair to equate religion with spirituality. Spirituality is personal, religion is mass opium.
LOL JK, but for real - religion is one of the ways in which we attain spirituality but it doesn't have to be the only way. Yoga. Some people go to craft beer microbreweries and have a spiritual revelation. It's all personal. Any generalisation to be made at the risk of being wrong.

Although in modern times, spiritually and religion have become disconnected, it's believed the term has it's roots in Christianity, in the Christian doctorine of Trinity.

Trinity says there is one God and three divine beings in one God - The Father, The son(Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost

Spirituality meant being driven by the Holy Spirit, today it means a life that is not driven by material things or hedonism.

Spirituality is not something associated solely with religion.
What I feel is today's perception of religion and spirituality are way different.
1- today, religion doesn't allow you to question you faith.
Whereas, spirituality is the process of asking why and finding answers .
2. Religion is about a set of shared beliefs and customs.
Spirituality is knowing the practicality of everything and you are always aware that things do not last forever.
Spiritual people are open to every source of knowledge and teachers. Like a Hindu who is spiritual will be open to a source of knowledge about life coming from a Buddhist, Muslim etc.

yes thats the only way since rational thinking makes you selfish and mean, tangled in secular pleasures... saying spirituality without religion is like saying can you breather under water with oxygen dissolved in water!!!

Yes either religion or philosophy is the first step that leads to a search ... the promptings may come from deep within us due to dissatisfaction with things around us.
Religion can be like a drug too and we can get hooked on it. I do like the silent repetition of Om as it seems to resonate and calm our minds ...
