Totally agree and sustained actions are even better than one off impulsive action as an indicator.

Sometimes it is human nature to rebel against anyone saying anything whether good or bad.
Parents always mean well when they advise or scold the children, but the children often hate it. Sometimes people do not want to be "disturbed" or distracted and just want to be by themselves. Perhaps they want their own space. A lot depends on our mood too, in a good mood everything is acceptable .

^^ Rebelling for the sake of rebelling could serve as a mechanism to boost ones flagging ego 😆

Scolding can be perceived as non acceptance or rejection and thats obviously unpalatable. Once that feeling arises there is a fat chance of the children trying to make sense of whats being said. Its better to get them into a receptive mood before delivering the do's and don'ts. The problem is that most parents are too harried themselves with patience running thin and find it more convenient to use short cut methods to ensure compliance even if on a temporary basis.

Ok. Here is the thing. Intent is good it tells your character... but in real world the intent has to have a correlation to action. ...remember even if the intent is within you... you arent sure if it is fleeting or kind of permanent...Finally for your intents to be recognized your actions should follow...don't take people for granted because they misunderstood your intent...people really have to know you well to not misread you...

OK I get that 😆

kyon bhai kisi ladki ko chheda vagaira toh nahi naa? 😆 ladki jab chappal utha leti hai.. toh intentions ko padhne ka vaqt kisike pass nahi hota... 😆...

Ab yeh kahan se aayaAisa kuch nahi hai mere bhai 😆

Making a wild guess regarding that recent conversation, lets say, you find your well intended teaching attitude going all wrong and you wonder why. A simple step like getting down from the high pedestal might help immensely 😆

I want that crystal ball right now 😆 I need to keep a hat pulled well down my head and ears 😆

Its not only through words that you communicate. A lot many non verbal clues also contribute to your communication. Other than that its always the recipients prerogative how to react. If you intend or care enough to get a good reaction you may pay attention to how and what you say or do and improvise as you go along. If its important to you that the message be conveyed you may want to deliver it in an effective way. On the other hand if its only about expressing yourself you may be satisfied with just doing that and leave the interpretations to the audience.

hmm --so it could be both ways --🤔

Hola 😲 that aint true at all!!!!! No ones dumped me so far 😕

you also called one member a cockroach, remember?...

It was you and not me who compared women to cockroaches --- go read your posts again and BTW why did you change your user Id? Did you get banned for calling women cockroaches 😃

and then you have audacity to fight for female rights. Any sane person ever can see the duplicity in your behaviour...

You validated my topic. Good example of my noble intentions being misread 😒

so, please as Angie said get off high horse and learn to behave yourself and then go for preaching...

Oh c mon now 😲 if you go through the recent topics here you would know who it was directed at . Most certainly not towards my innocent self 😳 DhinkaChika you misread all over again. You need to do some deepthinking 😛😆

There was a quote along the lines of "you judge yourself according to your thoughts and intentions, the world judges you according to your actions".
I'll compare this to the CA:Civil War movie (sorry I'm on a CW high after watching it 😆), where no one's denying that the superheroes have good intentions, but in executing them they also cause destruction and death on a large scale. Whether or not they should be held accountable for those actions is the question (where Tony Stark says they should, Capt America says they shouldn't; I'm firmly on Tony Stark's side.)

You may have good intentions, and you may base your actions on them, but if it somehow causes harm, people will not look at whether you wanted that to happen, they will look at the consequences only. So having good intentions is not the only important thing. You need to make sure that what you do on that basis is also right. 😳

This analogy is really misplaced. That way you are even justifying terrorism by saying somebody killed somebody's kin and set their kin on path to terrorism!!! Every act of War has something called collateral damage and that is unavoidable...sometimes...you cant use that as justification to stop all wars!!... Bitter pill also works like that... you have to drink this horrible medecine so you could get better.. kind of thing... all this falls in different discussion...
