Hi guys!
I need your people opinion in something
Is taking a year off for preparation of competitive exam is right or student should apply meanwhile for some other course?
One of my friend saying she gonna apply in some course while preparing and then leave the course if she got selected?
What you people think?

Its wrong strategy to take year off for studies which doesnt pay off in long run. A gap of year means person arrive late in the job market, his work exp will be delayed and talking about salary its loss of over $ 50k.
For competitive exam one need to understand basics and try to solve questions in shortest time with accuracy.

Tasha, I assume that you are interested in engineering and hence want to get into IIT.Trust me it's of little use to waste a whole year especially if you feel you are that capable to get a good rank in IITJEE advanced within a year.
I also assume you just passed your 12th grade and already appeared for jee mains 2015.
IIT isn't the only institution for engineering, you can get into NIT, BIT, Manipal and the likes.
What do you mean by other courses? Are you interested in some other field than engineering?
