his work obviously, none of us know him personally. And everyone has a right to choose any religion/name of his/her choice. And i dont know if he really tried becoming fairer,if its not true then such exaggeration is totally uncalled for.

Each one also has the right to be any complexion they want be it Michael Jackson or Bobby Jindal 😆 He also has the right to say he does not have anything to do with India. If true then he wont really mind what the Indians say about him but it matters what the Americans say as they would have the power to vote or not vote for him. It is possible that he believes his dark skin or Indian connection may get in the way of his winning the elections. Not everyone can be an Obama right? Bobby would be Bobby and let no one mistake him for a Piyush 😃

Checking about Jindal's achievements he seems quite a clever guy.

I think if he really hated Indians he would have changed all his name. Name change was as a kid, so cant blame him.
Quote: "Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jindal changed his first name from "Piyush" to "Bobby" when he was a child, after one of the characters on the television sitcom The Brady Bunch. "
As for religion it does not matter what he embraces but its good to be in touch with all religions for their depth and variety.

To be in touch with all religions in their depth do we have to give up one and accept the other? Clearly there appears to have been an aversion to what the person was born with and a felt need to convert or have a makeover 😉 😆

God only knows I guess ! 😆
Over several life times a person may keep switching religions. But generally I would say stick to the religion of the Family but you may give ear to other religions too.
Whatever religion or teacher we accept it is our actions that matter most, Same rule may not apply to all individuals though as some are born for a different purpose.

Both your name and religion are a vital part of your identity. Changing them simply to "fit in" makes you resentful of your roots and your culture.

Give the man a break...he is got an election to win and that also for the POTUS😆...I remember Pres. Obama saying jokingly once that my parents gave me the middle name Hussein because obviously they never thought that I would be running for the office of the POTUS😆
On a serious note...its his personal choice however he wants to identify himself...but one thing is for sure...the world will always view him as a brown man...personally I believe that a person should never forget his roots.

What an idiot. Anyway, it's his sense of 'identity'. Now, even if it's wrong, can anyone alter it? Can anyone change or judge his 'sense' of identity?
