that's what I intended to write, i gotya well :)
..have u noticed how a man , given an opportunity will never miss a chance to have sex & how his friends will ridicule him for being so picky when an opportunity presented itself ?..its like stop being a pussy , u dont have to marry her !..and about women's 'biological needs', that too has changed over the ages , i think human females have developed an ability to have sex irrespective of their desire to have kids, in most animal species, females will not waste their time & energy in anonymous sex, only intent of sex being to get pregnant, but things are different now , but still have you noticed how a woman indulging in anonymous sex is not seen in a positive light by the society in general ?
Quixote, biological needs = sexual needs 😆 Human females are sensual too.. from a certain age, differs in each. But, I think it's mostly linked to her deep wish for a baby(may not be true) If men are having anonymous sex, there MUST be some female to do that with, remember that! 😆 ..unless ofcourse, most men go to prostitutes.
That's because of "gender"...'she' isnt a female, 'she is a WOMAN, a LADY...so hence due to the societal structure, 'she' is looked at in a bad light if she only satisfies her biological needs.
..but a man doing the same, its almost like a credit..why such double standards ?
The psyche of the society is like that. Sex is a very personal issue.. it shouldnt bother anyone. It is something private and something very natural, just like taking a leak... 😆 I infact feel that neither of a married couple should ask about each others' "venturing".
..but have u noticed how a woman's desire to have sex during ovulation period increases?
Ohhooo.. that's why a woman looks appealing than usual during ovulation :o ...so it's all harmones, nothing else. hmmm. This does it, harmones are at work, that means it is a very natural and a biological thing, like a reminder to "come on, now, you look all perked up, go get some and create a new life".
..i believe its bcoz of our retained primeval tendency which is at work with or without our knowledge..now some people r working really hard towards abolishing such double standards, in effect changing the way a modern society works- whether this is how nature intended it to be or not ,or whether it will have positive or negative effects on our species is yet to be seen..
Nature does whatever it does at right time for the right cause... I believe in that 😃 even if we were to be totally wiped of this planet. Wonder what our new abode would have in store for us?! ❤️
i believe in the process women might (just a possibility) get their inhibitions lowered & in that , every tom-dick-harry stands a chance to father a child..
Quix, I really feel there is a difference between satisfying biological needs, and picking RIGHT father for mothering a baby. A LOT of difference. Women are very sensitive and serious about the latter, ofcourse, unless both are thrown out of the window for LOVE 😳 btw can you elaborate on bold?
besides its just not limited to that ,there are many many other factors too , even same-sex couple could happily have their own biological children & may be nature never intended for these people to have children, but i bet it sounds harsh now..again its complex co-operative modern society that we are talking about..its hard to predict what would work& what wouldn't for our species in times to come ..yes, so things have changed & the effects too will vary accordingly..😊..
Can you elaborate @bold?
Quixote, I'll say that women are only more outgoing...not like women didnt have amorous relationships/gigolos in the past, this anonymous sex is on the rise perhaps... but only to satisfy her sexual needs. Women still would want such-and-such as a father of her baby. So, nothing really is changing...
what we can do is, stop worrying about things which are not always in our hand ,live ur life & do what appeals to humanity- that should tell u what is right & what is wrong in the current society..cheers..😃 ..and i hope i havn't confused u with this complex post.. 😆
No no, dw about that.. it's always nice to engage in such discussions :)

Most cosmetic surgeries like other surgeries are just anesthesia and knife.

I think steroids and other performance enhancement drugs have genetic imprint. For example steroids shrink the testicles, weaken the sperm and cause hair loss. I am not sure if it causes genetic traits that passes on.

Gender reassignment surgeries or gender correction surgeries do involve hormones and biological change. Again I don't know impact on genetics.

Lately gene therapy is studying actually using genes to cure disease. I wonder if it could have any unexpected genetic mutations.

Technology, science and modifications have become so common in our life that we rarely rely on natural instincts like animals in nature. Who knows what course our evolution will take, how and why.

What about birth control pills??

We don't have any evidence of long term impact of hormones on genetics. We don't know if any long term changes will be observed after decades of use.

Women that are on BCs tend to gain weight, look 'different' for sure... 🤔 ..
My mother was born weak and fragile because my grandma used too many medicines for some menstrual problems(maybe even BCs) almost for 6 years after her marriage(married at 13 so waited for 6 years to birth a child). And, I was an IUGR baby, both mother and I(life-threatening to both), survived our way out staying inside my mom for 9+ months and I developed well later on to the surprise of the doctors, but still have fragile health(more fragile than mom), my child may be even more fragile than I am if my future husband will be alright, if not strong.
I really wanna know impact of medicines, especially harmonal ones on the progeny.

I have not seen that to be the case. Most women I know here are on birth control. I haven't seen weight gain. It is a side effect, but in few instances.

Thirteen is still a young age to have sexual relations. Sex itself can have a negative impact on a female's reproductive system.

IUGR is not caused by birth control or hormones.
http://www.webmd.com/baby/iugr-intrauterine-growth-restriction

Majority of IUGR cases in India tends to be malnutrion or undiagnosed preexisting conditions.

IUGR is also not hereditary. To produce a healthy child all you need to do is get a good doctor. Assess your health before pregnancy. Make sure you are taking appropriate medication if you have diabetes, anemia or heart disease. Follow a balanced nutritional diet as recommended by doctors. Take folic acid and supplements as recommended by doctors. Barring rare genetic disorders your husbands weakness or strength does not impact the health of your child.

Birth control pills are almost the norm in the west. They are as common as cough drops. There has been no traceable health impact on the children.

A good doctor should be able to tell you the known side affects of medicines and educate you to minimize negative impact on future children. We actually are privileged to have many facilities to ensure healthy children that our ancestors did not.

Cosmetic surgery is just like any other surgery, nothing to do with genetics.Even the gender changing surgeries just alters the appearance .A transgender person after being changed to either of sexes will retain the same set of sex chromosomes.Good features means having a good set of genes. So when you alter your appearance, you are deceiving some one into thinking that you have a nice set of genes.but again,Inheritance of most physical traits like skin colour, facial features, height etc are complex involving multiple genes for a single trait. So contribution of a single such trait is not strong enough to change the course of evolution.

I don't know much about the effect of birth control pills. They just change the hormone levels and their side effects are usually limited to the person using them and not passed on the progeny,I think.

Mutations on the other hand have much greater consequences and are inheritable. Some medicines, chemicals, use of nuclear weapons and continuous exposure to ionizing radiations like x-rays(btw do you know you're exposed to mild ionizing radiations on airplane flights?😉I came to know that recently )can cause mutations.Children with genetic anomalies are still being born even after generations due to use of DDT in kasargod, kerala.

I think gene therapy can have a significant effect on evolution if widely practiced.

Angel, this is a complicated discussion because it is purely based on my perceptions & understandings..so i think that point needs to be noted..and i believe that is why it is confusing..and i am not sure if i want to confuse u further with my thoughts..🤔 ..seems pointless somehow..😕

P.S. you can call me Akash or Quixotic or Quixotic5 & i ll appreciate if u refrain from addressing me as Quixote or Quix or any other permutations/combinations of my username..😆
