and more than all this,politeness and patience..😊...The member mod rapport is something which should be given the predominant importance...Explaining does help,more than being strict..I must say here,Aparna and Minnie and more than anyone,lashforever have sometimes been so patient with me😳,and patience helps the member to realize their fault in much less time...😊

Once in JJKn,new rules were introduced..all the members revolted,everyone felt that the rules were too harsh,and were uncalled for...But,the mods didnt even give it a rethink...Everything that the members said,fell on deaf ears😭😭.....and most of the mods unanimously stood for it,and most of the members(or those who were vociferous) unanimously stood against them.....No consensus was reached,and members were subdued....how to react to such situations,whom to further appeal to

The answer to this is that every institution has it's own set of rules and own pattern of working.It might not reflect the likes of many ,especially ones who go for all out freedom, but it is essential for the smooth functioning of the institution.

For example, some think it's all right to bash stars, as they are public figures. IF says, discuss them,but the discussion has to be positive tone of voice. No discussion which radiates negative energy in terms of words used, sarcasm, or destroys the decorum of the forum is encouraged. Not all can ever be curtailed,but best effort is put to weed out unnecessary criticism and harsh words. That's when members are pmed and told about it. EXAMPLE: Say,Now it might be funny for you to say that Amitabh Bachchan looks like a lifeless grey scarecrow hung on a hanger which would scare not only crows but everything else as well.........and then you post this along with half a dozen dead faces (🤢)........and to you and some of whom who dislike him may find this very funny,..........but to me, and scores of others,it's revolting, vilifying, harsh, disrespectful and unnecessary. And it radiates negative energy,and does not solve any purpose other than amuse a hnadful and upset all his fans...yet note that no where there is any use of abusive language and all that...so here, it's a ,matter of decorum and kind of environment IF works in.

Every school,every college,every office,every country,every party has rules that best fit that particular outfit and works best for the overall outfit. India Forums is the same. So sometimes,the rules may look too harsh or strict,but they are made because IF works on certain pattern and decorum,which is found in every section, and makes it more inviting,may be to not all,but 90% of them.

I and my wife had two children before we had this much discussion about our relationship - and we are still happily married, thank you. Nice debate.....I have to read the whole post but Minnie nice ex. lol 😆😆tell me who said this for AB did it happen in IF😉 was that member banned or not.

Mods are human & to err is human!😊 I guess voting is a good idea. We need some floatingbee & findbee b/w mods & viewbees😃 . I understand Mods are very busy & do not visit every section so these floatingbees can help them with.....what is going on each sec . An weekly report will be nice which shd be put up in each week.......including all the controversies.

This is an open forum so all shd be done in open even selection of mods you select some & then let the members vote & select their mods for each sec. Global mods & channel mods can be chosen by the admins but sec mods & viewbees shd be selected & then elected. Just my 2 cents.😃
