The phone ringing should be sorted out soon. But it rings when the call goes to the network provider as well. So not sure how authentic is that news.Really baffling stuff happening.

The phone ringing should be sorted out soon. Water proof phones..😊But it rings when the call goes to the network provider as well. So not sure how authentic is that news.Really baffling stuff happening.
Personally, I don't find the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines as baffling. There have been several recorded instances of atmospheric turbulences that cause planes to dip thousands of feet or even literally fall out the sky. I'm guessing that happened.
Remember the 28,000 rubber duckies that were lost at sea. They all went in different directions and made landfall at different shores, despite going overboard in the same spot. The plane most likely disintegrated for some reason and the parts went in different directions. The ocean is insanely enormous and difficult to search. With several layers of currents, changing tides etc. you could search a grid multiple times but still miss the debris because it was in the grid before or after the search.
Ringing cellphones have few possibilities. Water proof cellphones. Cellphones floating on light debris. Or carriers that ring and go to VM even when a phone is off. The only thing that slightly baffles me is that if there is a possibility of phones/electronic devices being on, why is no one trying to trace the GPS of the devices.
Many people have put several plausible reasons as to how a flight can disappear. The mystery is really in finding the one actual cause. But to me it really isn't baffling because the earth is full of mind blowing phenomenon and science works in mysterious ways.
I am of the firm belief that there is always a logical and rational explanation to everything. There are many rare phenomenon that are not completely understood. A multitude of reasons can cause a plane to suddenly disappear off the grid. Many plausible explanations have been put forth.
I don't blame Malaysian authorities for the chaos. In this media frenzy world everyone demands instant answers. Was it terrorism? Who was on board? Was it malfunction? Give us a few days to investigate and get back to you, is an unacceptable answer. In this duress authorities make up plausible explanations and then have to backtrack and change when new evidence is uncovered.
Rare unusual circumstances are not easily explained or understood. The confusion and chaos is because authorities are dancing in every direction without real knowledge on which direction they should be going.
South China Sea maybe a known shallow sea. But don't underestimate currents. Especially now is the time the surface currents are changing from Northeast Monsoon to Southwest Monsoon.

The subsurface currents have not been completely mapped out. At least I am not familiar with it.
