Interesting topic. The point you raised here is valid and it is a basic human tendency to blame anything on anyone. If a child does not behave parents are blamed ,if a man wanders ,then again a woman is blamed. Its the blame game which is inherent in human psyche which has this illustrious habit of not accepting ones mistake.
So now coming back to your question.I am a daughter of working parents and we siblings turn out to be quite fine with our careers and life partners too.It is a hasty generalization that working parents children tend to get corrupted or are unloved. In fact sometimes its the other way round. The child does learn to be independent and develops an individuality. Also I have seen when working parents come back home ,its in their agenda to spend maximum time with their kids to make up for the loss.
Also it is important to understand that the QUALITY of the time you spend with your child matters rather than the QUANTITY ..you can spend hours sitting at home watching your kids still they may feel unloved and even an hour of warmth can make up for the whole day.

Loved ur post👏
@ Green - Yup this is why they are blamed because generally its called as working parents = children doesn't get enough love and care.
@ Blue - That's one factor I've always noticed on children of working parents is they develops more on self-confident and as you said, individuality.

@ Last para - I agree. There are many kids who have their mother as home-maker still they are disobedient, irresponsible.Working parents should make this sure that the amount of time they are spending with children should always be special for both sides.

I always direct any question about lose-lose patriarchal value system to the smart-like-a-cold-day-in-hell Ms. Clinton. Here:

Suhana ,the problem here lies with the age old patriarchal system of the society where the distribution of labour was based on the biological and physical strength of the opposite sexes since times immemorial. So a man used to go out do hard labour and earn while women nurtured the kids and took care of them. However due to changing times ,women too started participating equally switching sides breaking the suffocating system of being confined to the perimeters of the house .This switch was however one sided, while women stepped out ,men generally never were ready to step in to participate in the jobs inside the house.I am talking in a broader sense , some men do share equal responsibilities.
So with this whole imbalance where the women shared responsibility compounding her jobs manifold but men still restricted to their SO CALLED AGE OLD JOB DISTRIBUTION;the blame game started more towards women that how they should manage both their duties.
But to sum it up all,it is the common responsibility of both the parents to take turns and participate equally in the parenting of a child..whether they are working or even if the mother is at home. Parenting isn't an easy job and neither everything lies in their hands at all. A child can be MONITORED ,TUTORED AND GUIDED but not DICTATED ,PUSHED OR MADE A PUPPET.So again the point of blaming WORKING PARENTS(I will say it working mothers more precisely) is absolutely shallow...

Piu
