Marriage in India is very hard now. It seems like most of the women want to be Americanized and come abroad. But, it is hard to keep them happy. Why is that the case? That is why the divorce rate is so high. This might be a debate that might make people sit up and want to say something. But, I think it is worth the time. 😊

It's not about Indian or western i guess . And,if you are talking about marriage, then It's not hard actually to keep a woman happy.

It's a two way street, First of all you have to make her realize that you are doing everything possible to bring smile her on face & you care about every little things that matters to her. You can't always fulfil all her wishes, but you can give your best shot.

Secondly,There should be mutual understanding between couple & most important thing, they should have respect for each other's view & feelings. In marriage also,a couple need to give some space to each other.

Thirdly,In marriage,a husband should not always wait for his wife to tell him what she expects from him or what's her wish, you have to read her mind or take little hints from her behaviour 😆,but for that you both have to be madly in love with each other fully. Bcoz it's not easy to read a woman's mind.

Fourth,Find some time from your busy life & give her little surprises. Like take her for surprise dinner or movie. On weekends, you can cook for her.

At the end of the day,you have to remember that most woman have very good memory. They will always not appreciate you on your face for your efforts to keep her happy, but there will be a silent nod that she knows you will do anything to keep her happy & you care for her happiness.

You're all squashing all Indian women into one category. I don't think it's the women, I think it's their families that are obsessed with the idea of marrying their daughters abroad. Quite honestly, I see it right before my eyes that marriages really are hard because in India, even if you aren't happy together, you've to just keep going, come what may. It sounds idealistic when you put it that way but it isn't, marriages like those ruin people's life. Come to think of it, some women are left with what you'd call no life at all because they work jobs and run households and are dissatisfied with their spouses since the beginning till the end of time.

So, probably it's the institution of marriage that's to blame. Because a lot of women spend a lot of time thinking how to keep a man happy too. And neither campus actually succeeds and ends up, well, doomed. That's about it, I feel.

It's like asking why is it hard to keep an Indian man happy that he feels the need to sniff around every corner of his way 😆

Instead of asking this question on the forum try the novel experience of asking the woman in question directly - whether Indian or not. Women are NOT "chabi-ki-gudiya" contrary to the perception at play here. There is no magic mantra.

Talk to the women in your life as equal partner, treat her with respect and demonstrate that in your actions, listen to what she is saying instead of simply hearing her words and if you are doing it right probably she'll tell you herself what makes her happy. If she doesn't tell you, you are not going about it the right way.
