Alright, that makes sense. I confused myself with the wording of the question.
So, truth is objective. YES. But, I was rather trapped in Einstein's is the tree still there when I turn around puzzle.
I know a truth (factual, real) but I determine my listener's best interest (my perception, beliefs, guesses of an outcome all come together in my decision making). It is better to tell what you know to be real rather than be scared off by what you believe the outcome might be. Ignorance is not always bliss. I cannot think of an example when it was. I would love to hear some though.
All in all, personal interest comes first (calling a spade a spade on this one).

To me, truth is absolute, object and relative, but my beliefs lean more towards absolute truth.

The quantum theory: "If a tree falls in the forest, and there's nobody around to hear, does it make a sound?" The answer depends on how we choose to interpret the word "sound", isn't it a human experience, which is derived from results of physical signals by sense organs? There is already truth in what we hear and see and how we perceive...

I agree with you here that ignorance is not a bliss and to it's a temporary...

I don't want to live a lie based on lies, even if it is white lies.

But I think there are people who prefer not to be told the truth.
I was in a situation once where I knew something bad about a friend's partner. I didn't know whether I should tell her about it or not. I asked her if I knew something bad about her partner would she want to know about it. Her answer was that if it was something so bad she would leave him because of it I should tell her, but if it wasn't really bad and I knew she would stay with him regardless of her knowing the truth, then she rather not know the truth. Her point being why suffer over something when she wouldn't act on it, it would just cause her pain. So I didn't tell her the truth.

I don't ever tell lies though, I'm not good at that. But if I knew someone doesn't want to know the truth about something, I wouldn't tell them about it. I'd just hide it.

So true that people rather hide behind illusions rather than to face reality. And even if they find the truth, they would still remain ignorant. :(

And what if the questioner has no relation to what is being asked, shouldn't the responsibility still fall on the person being asked?

I think, each person can experience different type of truth as per their view and understanding, may be its manipulated or cultivated by others or burdened by the memories of the past. or if I try to answer the question 'what's the truth', my Interpretation has enter in it.. but we all know truth is only one...thats knowing or self experience or awareness...😊

Yes, but at the same time we all assume that we know the truth, while it still remains absolute.

The police have a duty to tell a citizen his right to remain silent and that whatever he says can be used against him 😆

@Zorro, I would have to say that there are a few things that we all agree are absolutely true, but that depend upon that we agree on their definition.

@Prometeus, I believe in the power of "words", which carry all my experience, perception, and the truth :)

Ah Zorro Bhai 😆
Generally the commercial world is pretty fake and everything from politics, work, accounting, banking, finance, religion etc to common social behaviour are all covered up in lies to varying extent.
Imagine religious groups collecting money from the common people under all kind of excuses and misusing the funds ( some New Wave Church Group); I am just waiting for God to slap them 😆😆
A major case is going on and I guess in future there will be more ! All religions have the same problem frankly.
