This is a really random thought,
I was watching something when I started to ponder over this other side of life and importance of life..
Life is a gift, a wonderful gift that each one of us can use to improve and leave this world a better place when we leave than what it was when we arrived.. BUT, if I have to take an absolutely practical, scientific, astronomical view.. and not the sociological, anthropological or philosophical view.. Have we ever thought about this???
************************************************************************
1. How significant are we in this universe?
2. What is it with life? What is it that we are glorifying? What is it .. for which we want to establish hope, power of faith and belief, positive vibes and their strength...
3. Why is it important, that every person must cherish the life they have been granted.. ? Why is it importance for us as a society that everyone born must fight for this life and not give up on it easily? Why is it important for the society to ensure individual does not get to choose his death?
*************************************************************************
I am not too sure of afterlife. Going strictly by science, we are some combination of Oxygen, Carbon, Nitrogen, Iron and Hydrogen..( maybe many more elements). We are exactly like robots/ like an electronic product.
What we feel, what we think, our dreams, our reactions to any stimulus, memories that suddenly surface when we see something, power to associate/link sthg with sthg else..it is exactly like a microprocessor function.
Mind can be thought of as a combination of chips and nerves are your electric wiring- they complete and link the path.
Data stored in the chips is in form of memories. Over our entire life experience, this data keeps getting added to the brain..
Data has following parts:
1. What happened?
2. Our understanding of why it happened ( which mind you again is impacted by our earlier experience...why a person always finds negative meaning in an action vs another)
3. What we felt and thought when this happened and about our reaction
And anytime in future something similar happens, bang the old data comes up forcing us to retaliate similarly..
Lot of surveys and stats is available that humans react to similar situations in the same way. When a person does react differently is because sthg was disrupted. In sociological sense, you would feel that this is not right or lets try sthg new... but from mechanical perspective, you must have acquired some data somewhere e.g. an article , friends telling you they have benfited of meditation etc)
If taken this view, we are nothing special in spiritual sense. We are however still special in Evolution theory perspective.

Now the real reason for the topic,
Why do we have to convince others that fighting is important and dying is a weak man's answer???
Why is it important to not die!!!
CASE1:
A woman who has been raped and just hates it ( not saying the victim is in any kind responsible, I am not even arguing the society pushed her to feel bad abt herself .. on the contrary take the best situation... society loves her and wants her to live.. everyone is supportive..).. but for the person that she is , she can't tolerate the pain .. her life is lost.. and she wants to die
CASE2:
A man is fed up of his work life.. he can't get enough to feed his family.. every other day he sees his family getting humiliated in classic rich vs poor conditions.. he can't enter the malls because the guard wouldn't let him.. he can't spend 2 minutes in AC..
He can't buy stuff for his kids, he senses their dissatisfaction each time.. and it kills him.. he wants to die.. and there is no alternative.. there are no banks, there are no NGOs there just ian't a way to make his life better..
We as society would still give him hope when he wants to kill himself .. ( mind you, I am not arguing a man has right to take someone else' life...if he has to he can take only his life)..
CASE3:
Why is it suddenly justified to kill yourself if caught by spies or enemies rather than blurt out the secret?
***************************************************************
Case1: Possible reasons..
We don't want to set up wrong precedent, we want the world to know that its not woman's fault and she should not in any sense feel inferior. We want the rapist to know he does not have control on anyof us.
What would other feel abt this?
Case2:
1. The family needs him.. if he kills themselves what abt people who love him..how would others feel
What would others feel abt this and how are they impacted?
2. Society needs them .. for e.g. Farmers in India
What would others feel abt this and how are they impacted?
Case3:
Again, rationale is
How this would impact others?

Isn't every single thing said, done, preached has an ulterior motive. Everything has its root in selfish motives! Everything is about survival.
Then why do we get all hyper when in our day to day life someone accuses us of being selfish!
And given how organized a colony we humans have become, how does it really matter if someone wants to kill himself..Why can't we let them..
If a person is too weak to live he mostly would not be a great contributor to your society because most of the time he will keep wallowing in his sorrows.. or keep feeling envious, jealous of others..
Weak people tend to show these signs... as per psychology..
For survival, you want the fittest to be around, so what is wrong or why is it wrong to let a person die who wants to die????
We are afterall machines, always can reproduce... so if defective pieces want to annihilate themselves why bother???
Are emotions really something other than electric signals???
PS: This post is not about allowing 'killing' someone.. but more on free will..
PPS: Like I said, a radical , different kind of a thought.. Hope you guys get the context..before posting replies.. This is just up for debates. Not trying to refute the traditional aspect towards life but exploring a new theory. Hopefully, without understanding the context no one would misuse vocabulary in thier post.
