Hello Folks,
I need some help preparing a Dahej/Dowry list. Im a person of desi origin but I was born abroad so Im not up to date with the local customs but Im basically aiming for the best bang for buck. What are the things can I demand from the girls parent?

I used to be a anti dowry person but it was hopeless I couldn't change peoples thinking so Im finally decided to join the ranks and bring out my desi colors. 😆

I heard this is a common practice so I would like to seek your help. Basically I want to leave out no stone unturned, as a Indian male Im proud to get this opportunity and rather not see it get wasted.

What are the things I should demand?

This Dowry thing sucks big tume...and its more demeaning to the guy than the gal. It seems that the grooms are on sale. LOL

But it still persists...One of my college frens just got her marriage fixd with a same caste guy. Her dad is gifting the groom an SUV in tilak...

Boohoo. Im a Indian male, Im superior than any female. Its my GOD given right to ask for Dahej. You cant just expect me to take off that girl from your hands without any incentive. After all wo mujhe thodi de rahi hai, apni ladki ko de rahe hai uske aaram ke liye.

There are ten people who are ready to line up and pay me up Im sure about that. 😎

Dowry is the one of the foremost reason why daugters are not valued as much as the sons in the subcontinent...the tortures and deaths that many women undergo as a result of this social evil is unimaginable and heartwrenching.

I strongly believe that people(including you) should discourage the practise of taking/giving dowry. Its one of those ancient inhuman practices that need to be buried away for good.

Congratulations, TheBoss! I see the girl's family fulfilled all of your demands, including the super rare mustache and chest-hair fertilizer... 😆

Demand the following:

A house, a brand new Ferrari, gold bullion...um a helicopter...a Rolex...

If they can't provide these for you the custom is to marry the girl and continuously taunt her for the rest of her life and insult her parents for being 'poor' and not up to your standards..

I think this is pretty accurate isn't it?
