Recently, there have been articles about Iran in the news. There is supposed to be this new bill that will bring back the old fundamentalis dress code into the country. It will mandate all the Muslim women to wear long dark loose cloaks and cover their heads like it was during Ayatullah Khomiani (or however u spell his name😳) during the 1979 revolution. Also, they will assign different colors to other religious minorities to help identify them.

Is this right?

I strongly believe that it doesn't make any sense to use dress code for religion, because one's religion shouldn't be recognize by a color but by the way they believe in it.

Iran dress code law does not target minorities - MPs

By Parinoosh Arami

Iran's new dress code bill is aimed at encouraging designers to work on imaginative Islamic clothing, lawmakers said on Sunday, dismissing a report that the bill sought special outfits for religious minorities.
The bill aims to support those designers that produce clothes that are more compatible with Islam, but there will be no ban on the wearing of other designs." Iran's Jewish MP Moris Motamed also agreed the bill made no attempt to force special garments on the minorities.

"There is no single word in the bill about a special design or colour for the religious minority groups," he said.

"Our enemies seek to create tension among the religious minorities with such news and to exploit the situation to their benefit," he added.

After reading your post, I got curious about the issue. Where did you hear all of this? I searched the internet and I couldn't find anything like that. I posted some material above.

The bill has only been approved as an outline. The details must be agreed then sent to the Guardian Council, Iran's constitutional watchdog, for approval.
Iran has strict Islamic dress codes under which women must cover their hair and hide the shape of their bodies with loose-fitting clothes. Police and Islamic basij militias intermittently clamp down on women who flout the rules.

The bill has only been approved as an outline. The details must be agreed then sent to the Guardian Council, Iran's constitutional watchdog, for approval.

I did find that women are to wear certain type of clothing which covers their bodies head to toe. I don't know what's going on about that issue? I wonder if women in Iran are okay with it?
