AHMEDABAD: Joining the anti-reservation stir by students, resident doctors of various municipal hospitals on Monday struck work, affecting health services.

More than 400 resident doctors of various municipal hospitals, participated in an protest march and raised anti-quota slogans.

Medical students and doctors would also seek support of the students of premier institutions like IIM, and make door-to-door visits to garner support over the issue, a student leader said.

The agitating doctors will also hold a rally at the state capital Gandhinagar, the sources said.

Yes, everybody should join the anti-reservation stir. These politicians are trying to kill democracy, taking India 100 years backwards only for their vote-bank policy.

Thanks Rongmon.

I m surprised that so less number of students have joined. Most of them are chating in the Member interaction threads not even bothering to look at a social issue.

I m sure everyone has a serious side to his personality even though they do enjoy here.

Thanks, X-rebel, really I am feeling very bad, why brilliant and meritorious students have to suffer due to the vote bank policies ? atleast they should leave the higher educational institutes from all these controversies. I am sure, no OBC students from a remote village in Orissa, Uttaranchal, Jharkhand will be benefited from these, only the sons of highly paid govt. officials will get the opportunity, who has all the facilities in the world to compete with everyone. It is better to set up more schools, uplifting the educational system, competitiveness so that people from the economically backward community could also come up to the same level. Just compare the universities in western countries and India, except few like Hyderabad Central University, Pune, Punjab university there is no money to run research labs. Only due to these IITs, IISc, National labs, India has been able to keep its nose intact, what is the point of blaming the researchers in India for not getting any nobel prize ?

This is a burning issue. This is a example of dirty politics. Just to get the votes this politicians are screwing our future and no other political party is opposing this.

If any bill comes to parliament, immediately opposition stand up to protest that but now...everyone is silent, just to save their chair....
