2. Yes India's indpendence would have come faster if Congress used Bhagat Singh's methods. Gandhiji delayed the independence like 20 years or something.

3. Yes Gandhiji could have saved Bhagat Singh, but the thing is Bhagat Singh had made his mind to die for his country.

Bhagat Singh's methods were better
dont ever beg from the Brits
you should take your independence
Its our country and we are asking them politely to free us 😕 we should have owned them

also Legend of Bhagat Singh was the first dvd that i bought 😆

appreciate your "opinion". i think it is opinion, right, as opposed to reasoning?

incidentally, most opinion polls i've seen at least on SGMP run counter to actual results😉

incidentally, point 2 somewhat contradicts point 1😆

haha, even taking your source for now, so einstein was under the influence or wat? hmmm, "radical clean thinker" he was, he couldn't think for himself before he dashed a letter to the President of the United States? it's not like he was sending a love note to the girl next day because of some tempestuous rash infatuation😆 And this was about something as momentous as war and peace!!!

and the American Museum distorts? so shld we chuck out all sources West of the Atlantic that are not convenient?😆

actually he never knew the impact of it in reality.. So he must have thought of humbling hitler by scaring him.. like its done today....bet' various countries....america used it as knee jerk reaction to pearl harbor.. 😊

well the reason independece was in 1947 was cause of Gandhiji 😆
if it happened more near 1931 then it would be because of Bhagat Singh 😉

I SAID 15 times in last 4 pages that it had no more substance. It still gets quoted and I get quoted and accused of throwing others' thoughts in debate. Guess what?? I have logically argued how it belonged in the thread. I did not quote it and say "LOOK, These are the words of God, so be convinced😆 " I am not trying to convince anyone at all as I am not convinced myself. If learning HISTORY for years and watching politics of independent India for last 50 years still allows for such 37 PAGE DEBATE to happen, who am I and how would my thoughts matter anyway?? TRUTHFULLY, I have NO THOUGHTS ON THIS. I am on BOTH THE SIDES / ON FENCE. So what?? None of you has convinced me in past 37 pages to take any side either! Nobody can and ever will.. I never had options to run out of any & it doesn't matter.
I have loved what each of you has said in this thread, until right now. I should thank you all for enlightening me about things that had slipped my history pages. That you did not convince me, doesn't mean you didn;t help me look at the issue in another light. I was hoping for Einstein to do the same for you.. I failed and am out of here. See you in other thread Rahul, Vineet and Qwerty. 😃
Please continue your original debate barring my unconvincing quoted blabber. 😆😆 I am outta this thread.

IMO we're missing the point of debates/ persuasion/ selling. we'll never convince people who cannot be convinced in spite of effective reasoning. idea is to convince the unitiated and the unbiased, the true fence-sitters, not the ones who claim they are 😉😆

haha, and India's IT boom is because of the latest quarterly results, not the foundation that was laid by policies way back in 1990?😉😆

btw, i was a Gandhi follower till folks here convinced me otherwise. first bit of clothing i bought to hang outside was that gandhi khadi, gandhi supporter that i was😛 there😉
