Do opposites REALLY attract?

I won't say that as attraction but love does happens with opposite personality. I have seen many of my friends getting married to the opposite personality partner and most of them were in love and just two-three had arrange marriage.

i think it does happen. concern and love is important though.

if the two people are of a same kind, they both won't back down. it can get way too boring if those two are too peaceful. but if they both are a bit stubborn and both have temper problems, it will only cause trouble. so according to me, opposite attract because the other one is always there for you. if both are cowards, then they won't be able to protect themselves.

oh i forgot to mention, having something in common is also necessary. so that you have at least SOMETHING to discuss about!

I can't really say anything specifically but i think it depends on cases!!

I mean, some people hate their opposites throughout...coz they feel they can never be mentally compatible with one another

but on the same side, some people consider opposites to be attractive n feel that their lives will be more exciting if they actually are with that person whose way of thinking is a bit different!

okay my point of view is that if two people are life TOTALLY different in the sense that all they have is physical attraction but the opinions and views never match. For example if they both want different things in life and etc, opposites can never stay together for long!

sometimes what happens is that the person who you observe as being totally different then you will actually be the perfect match for you! at first sight they both may seem extremely different but internally they are very fulfilling to each others demands and desires. for example if two people are different but they complete each other then they are a perfect match. its very hard to explain! but ill give a personal example-
I know a couple in which the guy gets angry really quickly! on the other hand the girl is has a very peaceful personality! The guy is very talkative and outgoing. One day i asked him that they both are extremely different from each other yet they've been together happily for so many years! He replied to me that her peaceful personality attracted him and that she completes what he doesn't have in his personality. They both together create a balance. He said when he gets mad or angry shes the only one who can calm him down and if she was as easily angered as he is then they both wouldve initially just fought and went separate ways. but they are different! their opposite personalities attracted each other and together they create a harmonious balance!

This is all i have to say hope it made sense!

Nope, it's simply an urban myth.

I'm a very introverted person. i love my solitude. I'm not a very sociable person; I don't have friends, I don't like doing things like going out, going on holidays, having fun with friends, going shopping or to a cinema with a large group, celebrating birthdays/ festivals/ new years and so forth.

If I sound like a miserable old bore, then it's because I AM truly a miserable old bore. I will never be attracted to someone whose disposition is diametrically opposite to mine. As a matter of fact, I'd like someone who is as similar to me as possible.

So there.
