Sometimes, you learn that he or she being different is a good thing and they complement you well and other times you say that was a just a crush, good thing I'm over it. I don't think this is a "good boy" vs. "bad boy" issue but rather the number of differences between you two. I think the good vs. bad is kind of a very cliched example. Most of the time its just human differences, that go in unexpected directions. We live our lives with certain ideals and opinions, we find some traits likable and some traits dislikable. Initially people come of as too disagreeable, with too many unwanted traits - but then at the same time you see other desirable, likable traits and find yourself falling for that person you dislike.

You mentioned Jane Austen, I think Pride & Prejudice follow the same track. Lizzie is not a good girl, Darcy is not a bad boy. They are just so strikingly different, that when they meet they cannot help but dislike each other, sometimes even to the point of loathing. But over the course of time they see other qualities that make them fall for each other.

I think in terms of bad boys or bad girls etc. Its always the intrigue of the forbidden fruit. The thrill of trying to tame the wild. Extreme curiosity or a sense of opposites attract and you end up falling for people you dislike. And thats probably why Puckerman and Santana have so many fans. You don't really like their characters or the way they treat people. However, the bad boy or bad girl image they carry is so darn intriguing, that you can't help but like people you dislike.

Well if the crush stems from physical attribute, like his sexilicious body, or his Adonis looks LOL 😆 then yeah it is quite possible to have a crush on someone you hate. However, if you are crushing on someone you hate because of their personality, then the question really is, do you honestly HATE them?😕
