Uhh yes, MzSunshine, I am agreeing that this is insanity. DMG has literally f**ked up brains of people, and it's a shame that the regional party actually executed action for a fictional show. Someone is shedding blood, someone is slitting wrist, someone is ringing up goons, someone is threatening the poor chap who vaccums the carpet at Cinevistas....yupp these are the future leaders of our world. God bless them.:D
If only this show would shut, it'd be a bliss.

Wow..I am so damn impressed by your post..
Its ridiculous to be proud of the fact that some fan groups invited political parties to show a disclaimer on a Television show...god, and to add on to it, they did it in two days...are you kidding me??
How about making the same politicians start working on giving electricity to the villages of India..and it shall surely be more applaudible if they can dso it in TWO DAYS>.

How about getting those little kids on the sides of the road a proper shelter and food...in two days??
Wow, think real guys..
and TM..you were awesome...👏

I logged in after ages and I found this refreshing post. Good job on penning it down so eloquently. People need to understand that when they contact such fringe political parties they endanger the very freedom they breathe under. Today these goons allegedly succeeded in stopping the display of Extra martial affair on television, tomorrow they will demand women to stay at home and refrain from voting.

If this is what the Indian youth thinks then the future of India is bleak. All these times I got a flack saying I am American for supporting a woman's right to choose, if being "Indian" is contacting goons party to stop a woman from choosing and acting on her desires then I am happy being my AMORAL AMERICAN SELF!

People Liberty, Freedom and Justice all, and yes "all" encompasses a WOMAN! If she wishes to end her marriage so be it, if she wants to continue her marriage so be it, if she wants to leave her love and her husband behind and move so be it.

A couple of days ago people had pointed out in a post how I should not have talked about "Indians" being hypocritical, cos we had an image to protect. Well today that image has been completely shot to pieces, lol! So much for being proud Indians!

What are we proud of? Of being so shallow that we will contact a political party to stop something being shown on a TV serial? That too something that is common place? And is minor compared to myriad social issues?

What are we proud of? That our young generation has distorted priorities where stopping an event in a serial is of more importance than real life issues? Shouldn't you use your contact / access for other imp issues that actually impact real and not reel lives?

What are we proud of? That if someone's claim is actually true (and scenes were deleted courtesy a political party) we have jobless parties whose job is to threaten and stop scenes in a serial? What are we telling the world? That a political party would rather be fussed about an "EMA" in a serial instead of development of its people?

What are we proud of? That we will protest an EMA in a serial but will watch a woman being raped, beaten, disgraced in so many others, but watch it pasively in the name of entertainment?

What are we proud of? That we are happy to watch intimate scenes on a serial aimed at young impressionable minds but will sanctimoniously protest a woman succumbing to her desire?

What are we proud of? That we watch a guy have multiple wives or cheat, with equanimity but our modesty gets outraged when a woman does that? Half the b****y male population in the world makes a pass at a woman given half an opportunity but we'll overlook that. But woe betide a woman if she so dares!

Its a sad day, and nothing to be proud of when your young generation is a bunch of confused youngsters with misplaced priorities and misguided passions!

It would be delightfully ironic if the channel got fed up of this nonsense and shut the serial down. "na rahega baans na bajegi bansuri" LOL!!

I really agree to this one. I am just back to this forum on this news that MNS activist finally changed story...Its quite disappointing in country where more than 1000 women are raped in one day. this young generation is proud that they stopped EMA from women...whereas indian television shows has been showing that. for some 100 of male character...And not that we are actually boosting MNS for it...Please go and see how they treat women in Maharstra.......if possible RAJ thakre will take every right to live and right to choose from women...and that would be his next poltical agenda.....Very disappointed....women are supporting it that too for fictional show

Apologies for multiple posts but MNS IS A POLITICAL PARTY. Just a clarification and so is Shiv Sena. Both parties have never acquired a majority but Shiv Sena did once come into power by forming a coalition government with BJP. Under the government of BJP, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena, the country witnessed the demolition of the Babri Masjid, that day in my opinion is the biggest blow to India's constitution and it's secular nature.
I am a Hindu and I was ashamed to be an Indian that day.

And I can't believe that the people of this forum contacted these disgraceful monsters who prey on people's fears and successfully divide the fabric of our society.

I don't think it's the show anymore ... it's the ppl. Sorry if I offend anyone, but if anyone goes to such crazy lengths for a show, it's gotta be the ppl.

To prove my point - check out the geet forum. I love the show, but you'd wanna puke at some of the suggestions there - from suggesting Geet have a miscarriage, so she can have a smooth life with teh chacha of the kid she's carrying, to having her get intimate with the guy, when she's possibly married to his bro ...

that, also, is the ppl, not the show. The show actually brought in a good topic - jehaiz (sp) and how, still, in some parts of pak/india ppl still get married and leave the gal behind once they have the $$. Yet, the suggestions the ppl are coming up with ... tsk tsk. And the posts asking for Geet/Maan to get physical, wow.

So, all in all, it's the ppl I'm shocked at. Shows will come and go, scenes will come and go, EMA will prolly be aired many times, in teh future. But what these kids are using the media for, the internet and IF for ??? Interesting.

Where, pray tell, are there parents??? Do they know what the kids watch, and do?

BTW - does Star One have ratings on it's shows? And are they aired prior to the show airing? Anyone know?
