What are we proud of? Of being so shallow that we will contact a political party to stop something being shown on a TV serial? That too something that is common place? And is minor compared to myriad social issues?
What are we proud of? That our young generation has distorted priorities where stopping an event in a serial is of more importance than real life issues? Shouldn't you use your contact / access for other imp issues that actually impact real and not reel lives?
What are we proud of? That if someone's claim is actually true (and scenes were deleted courtesy a political party) we have jobless parties whose job is to threaten and stop scenes in a serial? What are we telling the world? That a political party would rather be fussed about an "EMA" in a serial instead of development of its people?
What are we proud of? That we will protest an EMA in a serial but will watch a woman being raped, beaten, disgraced in so many others, but watch it pasively in the name of entertainment?
What are we proud of? That we are happy to watch intimate scenes on a serial aimed at young impressionable minds but will sanctimoniously protest a woman succumbing to her desire?
What are we proud of? That we watch a guy have multiple wives or cheat, with equanimity but our modesty gets outraged when a woman does that? Half the b****y male population in the world makes a pass at a woman given half an opportunity but we'll overlook that. But woe betide a woman if she so dares!
Its a sad day, and nothing to be proud of when your young generation is a bunch of confused youngsters with misplaced priorities and misguided passions!
It would be delightfully ironic if the channel got fed up of this nonsense and shut the serial down. "na rahega baans na bajegi bansuri" LOL!!
