winning an Oscar is the Ultimate reward in an entertainment business.....I think winning the Oscar has put ARR at the peak of his game and may be it has made him a little relaxed.....😆....but I think the criticism for this composition must have jolted him back to reality....I am sure he will redo the song and it will be at par with his standards...

I totally agree ...we do expect quality product from a quality brand......ARR must have realized it too...hopefully😆

With less than a month to go for the Delhi Games 2010, the Organising Committee (OC) is going into overdrive to drum up public enthusiasm for the Games. As reported by TOI, the OC is now coming out with a video of the Delhi 2010 theme song, "Swagatham".

The video, which will be released within a week, has been pepped up for the video version. Said OC chairman, Suresh Kalmadi, "The video will be coming out soon, and will catch everyone's attention." And though Kalmadi insisted that there had been no changes in the song, which had been panned as slow by many, he admitted that the video version was more "upbeat". This, according to the OC, is so as to correspond with the video, which is "full of energy".

Incidentally, the contract of AR Rahman, the song's composer, with the OC specifically spells out that neither the music nor the lyrics of the song can be changed without Rahman's approval. OC officials, however, insist the video version is not a remix of "Swagatham" but rather just "pepped up".
