CWG theme song by ARR not good enough?

it's ok... as usual nothing to really write home about.. I think shankar mahadevan would have made a better choice :)

In a 30 minutes capsule discussing CWG's progress most of the discussion centred around ARR's theme song. Veteran musicians like Jagjeet, Kavita ji (over telephone) didn't disagree directly but said; song could have been better.

Vinod Dua the host said that because of overseas project of ARR for which he has to visit UK often he was unable to give sufficient time to theme song hence Rahman wala kaam nahi dikha.

Apparently ARR has charge Rs 5 crores for the theme song..! It was also discussed that ARR always gets more marks than he deserves..!

The theme song did not strike as anything outstanding when I heard it first . It might grow on us later on. Lets see.

Interesting and nice but yes it is not a heart stopper.

I stop it after a while couldn't finish it, it's nothing great to listen to and besides I don't think theme song of game event should be loud with heavy beats. Anyways eventually it might get on people's mind and all might like it as the games proceed.

But I am sad that Rahman asked for such a heft sum (Rs 5 crores) for an event which is being projected as national pride by Govt of India. Effect of Suresh Kalamadi syndrome?
