What gave rise to the individual ego? nothing much except a thought or a dream.

The ego exists due to lack of knowledge of Origin since the umbilical cord was cut .Now whom do we put the blame for that dissociation? Satan? Or perhaps there is a higher purpose for this loss of memory .Human beings need to make the efforts to find their Origin. The search is On .So all the best to all of us 😆

How about starting a new topic for the science lovers by the science lovers of the science lovers?

Let's get serious and look at the universe and beyond with scientific eyes. It's high time we started collaborating instead of going off on tangents.

I think that would attract a lot of players including those who are hitherto quiet. The bolded part could be the subject.

Me; I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.

God:Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer.With that experience their life becomes better, not bitter.

God: Yes, in every terms. Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests?Why can't we be free from problems?

God: Problems are (P)urposeful (R)oadblocks (O)ffering (B)eneficial (L)essons to (E)nhance (Mental) (S)trength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading...

God: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading.Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction.What should I do?

God: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead.You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

If tomorrow an asteroid were to collide with earth...or a gamma ray burst were to threaten us...then shouldn't GOD help us escape? Are not we his/her creation?

How many times has God ever helped us? NIL, nadda...shoonya! History has seen many massacres...thousands/lakhs/millions..even crores of people have died. Many of these massacres took place in name of GOD...certainly GOD should have appeared to stop these.

Another question is why does not GOD appear and settle the issue once for and all. We have Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Parsi and other GODs....and we keep killing each other in name of GOD...let the REAL GOD appear...doodh ka doodh aur paani ka paani karna chahiye real GOD ko.

But these things will never happen, but we still keep deluding ourselves believing in someone up there....there is no GOD. Aur agar hai to woh ekdam useless hai...

I understand life is hard, and people experience hardship on various levels. I rhink you going through a rough time and I am sorry for that, but there are things that you can change, you get what you put out there.

God helps those who help themselves. Simply praying and asking for forgiveneness and going to church/mandir/mosque will not grant you the help you want all the time. You must be proactive about your life.

Even by doing all of this, it does not mean you will have all of your problems solved. Life throws us challanges constantly & you must prove to life, to God, and to yourself that you can conquer your obstacles and thus, evolve as a person.

God does not punish people directly - there is a spiritual law of cause and effect (or result) in the universe for this. Whatever we caused by our actions will affect immediately our spirit i.e. guilty conscience, lowered self esteem, insecurity, absence of peace of mind, etc. and in the long run it will affect our physical well being through people and events around us (some call it karma). Essentially people treat us the way we treat them.

There is only logical for God to uphold principles he himself established. God gave freedom (or free will) to mankind and conscience to distinguish good from evil (so as to everyone of us). Any freedom usually comes with rules and responsibility. God did not create evil - evil came to the world as the result of unfulfilled human portion of responsibility. If God would intervene and deal with the results of people's actions He will in fact take away their responsibility, freedom and free will (we would become no more than animals guided only by instincts). So the best thing God can do to people is to let them deal with the consequences of their actions based on their conscientious understanding.
