Yes, there are alternate theories to the big bang such as those proposed by Steinhardt and Turok or those proposed by Hoyle, Gold and Bondi. Matter of fact, there are alternate theories to every theory in this Universe. I am sure a plethora of other "scientists" are trying to dismantle the big bang, as we speak. If they have enough funding, I am sure they would have made more inroads. There's no surprise there. Every one knows that most theories, including big bang, are fudged to some extent. You are talking like you are the first one on this planet who registered your objections against big bang or studied the objections surrounding the big bang. I am aware of most of those objections as well, thank you very much.

All said and done, big bang still rules because of the discoveries made pertaining to cosmic microwave background radiation. Period.

The Compton Effect was proposed as an alternative explanation of redshift by opponents of the big bang, such as John Keirein, but that explanation was rejected long back. Keirein's model was found to be erroneous.

Do not worry. His messages are not to offend but just to make us relook at our selves.

He has explained much of his views in various postings which are pretty detailed.

He holds certain views and most of us are fully aware of it.

When we say "I", whom are we referring to as I? who is this I ? Surely it is not the body or the mind then who ? Pl see the thread on "who am I".
