Actually on radio, they were saying that the sexual molestation is different than every other crime. Other criminals can be rehabilitated but molesters can't be.

whether one is genetically prone to molest or acquires the trait from society - its a crime all the same & needs to be punished in order to dissuade him as well as other ppl from repeating the same crime. But unfortunately the crime seems to continue perhaps due to the slowwwww judiciary system in India.

The two sides

good: if you say something you are saving other people from the same situation

bad: if you say something you are ruining the family environment, totally changing the whole dynamics of the family. Also if the molester is underage family you are ruining their future.

What should one do? Is it wrong to ever stay quiet about such things? Is it even possible to raise these issues and get a result in india?

i think in this case....one shud report immediately.....but now in indian society if sum1 is raped by any1 of family member(sumtime we have read in paper tht father has raped his daughter....its d shame to d whole nation...),then normally which happens is tht k if u say this to ur mom or dad they vll nvr trust u...(sum parents really support their children but in majority cases they dont wanna hear of it.)...
i sincerely think its not gud to stay quiet bcoz its associated with her child's whole life...but besides another thing is tht if sum1 goes to the court and put a blame against d person.then no boy will get married to tht girl.....this thing happens till today...so it will ruin envioronment and when u pass by the road....the neighbours will luk at u in such a way tht u have cum from a different planet and they will start gossoping and vll make fun of u...society till now has not accepted those girls who are gang-raped or molested by relatives/family members......

He may not be evil & may b a confused adolescent who has given in to temptation. But surely he is old enough to B made to understand the enormity of his misdeed ! Even if he doesnt get reported to the authorities the least that can B done is to have someone in the family speak sternly to him & ensure that he has indeed learnt his lesson & will not repeat it. It depends on how the victim takes it. Its going to B traumatic for her as well as the whole family ( considering that relatives were involved ). The boy has to B made to feel guilty & responsible. His age is not an excuse to B taken lightly. A lesson learnt well at this age would serve him better for the rest of his life. By definition rape means force was used against a person's will. Any adolescent should B able to understand why this cannot B allowed.

are u kidding me?????he molested his 20 year old aunt.....and u feel that we are being harsh?????what kind of kid does that...of course something is wrong with him....If u guys are not going to report him then atleast...get him evaluated by a psychiatrist.......believe me he is capable of doing it again...the next time he will not be so lucky.......

KIDS DON'T RAPE....if they rape they are not kids....so stop defending him and do something about him...u have a molestor on loose..

of you forgive a rapist, whose minor, he's gonna ruin even more people's lives, who knows, you maybe a victim someday(unless you're a guy, of course). Maybe, he may even start stealing banks or become a hitman. Then what?
