So, you think it's the worst city in the India, at least someone can speak Hindi or English there, unlike Madurai or Chennai, where it's hard to catch hold of someone who can speak Hindi amid the pollution and noisy 3-wheelers

The difference is that South India is getting a lot more foreign investment than west bengal. How nice that a bengali can speak english and hindi.... very useful... 👏
That's because of it's location.....easier and quicker to get too. But if you look in those IT companies in Bangalore, most of them are Bengali.

P.S.: Something wrong with the quotations here?
Bengalis owning most of the IT companies?
😆😆😆
Ok, prove it. 😃

Bengalis don't own the companies, they aren't good businessmen, that's for Punjabis and Gujjus. But their intellect assures then good high-rank jobs. BTW, heard of Arindam Chaudauri, Amartya Sen, Amar Bose, Subrato Roy?

High portion of Bengali IT servants? Ok, prove it. 😊
There are always exceptions to the cultural norm in every community.
In any case, the topic was about the failure of communism. You've already confessed that Bengalis have poor work ethic. So there. 😊

Not all is bad in West Bengal. Kolkata's GDP is higher than many other metro cities.

More than Bangalore and Chennai for example

Kolkata is the 3rd largest metro in India you know.. you can't compare oranges and lemons...😛
This still proves that communism is wrong while capitalism has led to progress.

Yes I too dont like communism. I was just listing down some figures.

GDP is one way to look at things. When we talk about GDP of India then we dont look at its population, size, etc. Higher GDP means higher influence irrespective of the population or size.

Anyway what is a fair metric according to you for comparison?

Capitalism is segragating a large part of the population in India. those from the lowest strata.
It encourages mad materialism, which is dangerous in the long run, as our resources are limitted.

In Kerala CPIM is a strong party other than congress as you know. Because of the efforts of the marxist party, Kerala is in par with developed countries when comming to HDI(Human Development Index). Communist government introduced land reforms in 50s and 60s which lead to upliftment of large section of the farm labourers in Kerala. While in many parts of rural north India, zamindars still rule over the peasants, in Kerala the lower classes have made amazing progress.

I wont say that communism is the answer, but capitalism is definitely not the answer either. The proven fact about capitalist development is that while it grows there is a tendancy towards centralization and concentration of capital. Over a period of time there will be fewer and fewer capitalists but larger and larger ones..
