seriously..the new version seems more like a bollywood promotion...with so many bolly stars and singers...have they left any singer out?

amitabh bachan and aishwarya still makes sense....but what has abhishek bachan done for india (his biggest achievement is to be AB's son and ash's hubby) they shud have included jaya bachan also to make the family complete... 😳

deepika seemed more like modelling or posing for a pic...

ranbir kapoor, karan johar, shaimak davar, shilpa shetty.... did they really made india proud?

and only1 scene of abhinav bindra, vijendra singh, baichung...like jus for the sake of it!

Really disappointing version, were they trying to make make it like remix or pop version.. Firstly tooooo long n bad editing, directing n feels like it has been made with mostly film actors..

Where r the legends who put India name high like lataji, ashaji, tendulkar, sania mirza, jagjit Singh, gavaskar, many sports n bussiness ppl n rahul Gandhi n all.. Too much of bachchan everywhere.. Whatsup with all those new actors who didn't make any mark yet n some r not worth being in it..

Yet it's a good giving for republic day n nice effort to spread message of unity in India.. Some r fine n few r good but no soul in the overall feel of phir mile sur.. Edit to make it shorter n impactful or may b it mght take time to sink in..

It's mediocre. It's a Bollywood invasion. Like India is just Bollywood and nothing more.

Kya karein yaar...Old is always Gold. Mile sur mera tumhara, purab se surya ugga and school chale hum..waise hi ache lagte hain...

They actually played with the original song.

The original song contained a sindhi stanza, which was removed in the new song. Some people don't like to include anything related with sindh and sindhis to be a part of indian culture. They have constantly tried to reopen those wounds of partition.
First was an attempt to remove the word "sindh " from national anthem.
Then a ban to stop teaching sindhi in schools of gujarat..
and then this!

Shame on the makers of the new version. There seems no other reason for trashing that sindhi phrase off. There is no shortage of sindhis in bollywood, who could have helped in your so called bolly-version.

Anyways I think the makers have paid the price of trashing sindhis off as their song is not accepted by India on the whole! God has done justice himself!
