This is a hindi serial. Also the makers have always said that this story is fictional. Mann Bai may be Salim's wife in real history, but I doubt they will show that in this series. She is just there to add the angle which starts the "bagawat of Salim Anarkali's mohobbat. Till now even though Salim and Anarkali are romancing in the palace, their love affair is still hidden from 2 most important people Akbar and Jodha.

Jodha has been shown to be indulgent of Salim. She is also shown to like Anar as well as treat her not as a servant but as a friend of Salim. If Mann bai was not in the picture and Salim had revealed of his love choice to her, the chances are that she would have been open to it. She would probably continue to indulge Salim like how she says it was ok for Mahabat to join the Royal family dinner.

Akbar might not have seen Salim eye to eye before. But now he is ready to listen to Salim and his ideas. My guess is, he is aware of Salim and Mahabat's drama regarding Mahabhat being a traitor. He is also included in that plan to find the real culprit.

The story is now prepped for the storm. Akbar making a promise while Salim is making the same promise, but to different people. This is how Akbar and Salim will start butting heads as for both their promise is most important. Jodha might have supported Salim in Mann Bai's absence, but now she will not be able to side easily. On one side is her brother and niece while on the other side is a servant girl whom she has taken under her wing. She will find it hard to support neither Akbar nor Salim.

I don't think the makers are going to show any marriage in this serial. My guess is the ending will be like Romeo Juliet or Laila Majnu. 😆 😆
