😳 thank god someone asked. I just spoke to Gattu patel (a well known cricketer from vadodra who has moved to NY)and he said that within vadodra cricket community D sir is a household name. D sir was known as "dancing tendulkar"for his uncanny ability to hit boundaries and sixers. In fact according to Gattu, many of those who played against D sir on the cricket field were very happy when D sir announced his intentions to pursue dancing rather then cricket. His teammates actually had threatened to quit playing as well until D sir convinced them that he wsa not abandoning them and that he would actually return to watch them play from time to time as his schedule allows. It was a very emotional thing judging from the narrative that Gattubhai has put forth.

As for d sir talking about his own abilities as a cricketer, you can read the link provided by bakasurbhai earlier in this thread. I thank Gattubhai for his insights. If you need to verify this information, i will be happy to provide Gattu bhai's contact information. 😊
