Hey guys,
I am really excited to be back with my weekly dose of performance ratings 😃 and I hope u r also as excited as I am to share my views with u on all the performances today 😛 First of all, what an episode, thoroughly enjoyed it! 👏 however, DID can definitely improve the episode by cutting down on some of the extra things here and there like Avneet saying things in GM's ear, the part on Anuragni etc etc 🤔 but other than that I liked all the performances today and fully enjoyed the episode 😃 Today, I will be rating the performances and the individual contestants bcz I feel than eventhough everyone performed in pairs today, some contestants stood out and did better than their partners. I hope u enjoy reading my post and DO NOT forget to comment and share ur views too 😊 so, here we go:
Actually, let's clarify the criteria first. I am not a professional dancer, so I can't comment on technicalities but I rate the performances based on how much I liked it, and that depends on how well the performance was executed (if the steps were clean, if the expressions were good, if the transitions were smooth, if the performance flowed nicely, etc), how did the overall performance look (that includes the song selected, the costumes, the props used, etc) and if the performance connected to me (did it create the emotion and feeling in me which it was suppose to create), and just the overall presentation of the performance (I like organized performances). So, now that u know how and why I give the ratings that I give, let's get straight to the performances 😃
Avneet & Neel - 9 - Oh god they were looking so cute throughout the entire performance. Their expressions, choreography, song choice, costumes, everything was rlly good. Their steps also looked neat and clean. Some problems in transitions here and there but the OVERALL performance was very nicely put together! LOVED IT! have already seen it so many times. The whole time I was so amazed at the fact that neel, being so small himself, picked up avneet so easily 😆 they make an adorable jodi and I hope to see more of them!! looking forward to watch them dance together in future!! well deserved performance of the day award!! 👍🏼
Khushboo & Shivani - 8.75 - I have already seen the concept used by Amrita sooooo many times before that when the performance started, I wasn't too excited to watch it, but I was actually really impressed by the choreography and the execution of that choreography, FLAWLESS EXECUTION! 👏 both Khushboo and Shivani did a very good job with the execution! their steps were neat ,clean, and the transitions were smooth. this is the only performance which I felt was flowing smoothly, otherwise in all the other performances I saw some transitions errors. Even avneet & Neel's performance had some transition problems at some places, but I enjoyed their performance a little more so they are getting 0.25 point more from me. Buth both Shivani and Khushboo also did very well. Only problem I had was with Khushboo's costume 😕 Shivani's costume was rlly pretty and bright, I wish amrita had chosen a bright costume for Khushboo as well coz Khushboo's look was a little dull compared to that of Shivani and Shivani is also taller than Khushboo so my attention was mainly going to Shivani, I had to make myself pay attention to Khushboo to see how she is performing, so just a little something I felt.
Manoj & Hansika - 8.5 - again, I'm really impressed by Mayuresh and Vrushali's choreography. Manoj & Hansika's performance was nice as well and it look balanced. It didn't look like one is performing better than the other, I was paying attention to both of them. Also, their steps were neat, clean, and the whole performance look organized (which is a very important criteria for me when I rate the performances, I don't like the performances which are all over the place, i like well put together and organized performances, and Manoj & Hansika'sperformance was organized) Again, some transition issues but overall, it was nicely done 👍🏼
Rituraj & Vaishnavi - 8.25 - LOVED the concept!! I have to admit that I'm impressed by Dharmesh's choreography. It was a refreshing change to see a performance that was done on a slow and emotional song rather than on a loud and fast paced number, which most of the songs were today. the choreography was good, I loved the song selection, and the overall presentation. However, i feel Rituraj was having problems keeping up with vaishnavi 😕 Vishnavi's steps were neat and clean whereas Rituraj seemed like he's not completing the steps on time and feeling the need to catch up with Vaishnavi, and this was especially evident during some of the transitions. Other than that, I liked the whole feel and atmosphere that their performance created! 👏
Atul & Divyam - 8 - woah, it was such a fast paced number and required a lot of energy and the two boys did a very good job with the execution 👏 The performance may not have looked as good if any of them showed less energy, coz the steps need to match the pace of the song, and that's exactly what happenned, the song was FULL of dancing, ek ke baad ek step, and I have to give the credit to both Atul & Divyam to do such a good job with the transitions. it gets hard sometimes and the performance may look messy and all over the place when there is so much going on, but I would say that it was just a perfect blend. I enjoyed the overall performance!
Jitumoni & Khyati - 7.5 - Overall, it was a good performance but very ordinary,imo 😕 It wasn't something exceptional and I wasn't too too impressed by the concept or choreography. However, the 2 kids did a good job with the execution of the choreography that was given to them. Jitumoni especially stood out in this performance. There was some troubles with transitions but the overall performance was nice, I won't say it was extraordinary and I loved it, but it was a decent performance and I quite liked it! the best thing I liked abt this performance was that it looked organized and not messy or all over the place!
Vatsal & Papiya - 7 - It hurts me soo much to give this performance a 7 😭 because Vatsal is such an amazing dancer!! but truth is truth, I didn't like the performance much i think there was a bit too much going on in the song and the performance looked all over the place, with all the props and songs chaning and loud expressions and all that. I have never been a fan of using props and I hope that Jai doesn't use a lot of props in his performances and focus on dancing, bcz even in the earlier mentioned performance of Divyam & Atul, I sensed a lot of hesitation when using that prop of the bag, and even in this act, the umbrella, the purse and all the other things were not necessary. the performance may have looked much better and organized without all that, imo! I hope that next time, Jai uses both Vatsal's & Papiya's potential properly and come back with an amazing performance!! I have high expectations from him!! On that note, Vatsal was very very good in the performance, he performed brilliantly on the given choreography!
Shubham & Anurag - 6 - Probably the most disappointing performance today! Nothing abt the performance stood out, nothing was different or unique or made me go like "oh that's interesting". It was a strictly average performance and I'm sad to see such a performance coming from Amrita. Buckle up Ammu, u have to show them that u r a tough competitor too!! I have high hopes from u and especially since u have got 2 strong female contestants, I'm expecting a lot from u!! and even if I forget the concept and choreography and just focus on how Shubham and Anurag performed, I would say it was a good attempt but they both can do a much much better job than this! I saw a lot of problems in the execution, and transitions. I hope they perform well next time. Here's wishing them all the best!!
And this brings us to the end of the performances today. you may have noticed that i haven't given any 10s today bcz not a single performance deserved a perfect 10 today, imo. They were all very very good and u can notice the points are really close to each other but I'm still waiting for THAT performance which will get a 10 from me 😛 and now that I have finished talking abt the pair performances, i will rate all these contestants individually bcz in some performances, one partner was better than the other!

and now, the team total!! 😃 I have calculated the total team score by adding the marks earned by their 2 pair performances and the 4 individual scores!
Mayuresh & Vrushali: 51 (9 + 8.5 + 8.5 + 8.5 + 8.5 + 8)
Dharmesh: 47.75 (8.25 + 7.5 + 9 + 8 + 7.5 + 7.5)
Jai Kumar Nair: 47.5 (8 + 7 + 9 + 8.5 + 8 + 7)
Amrita: 47.25 (8.75 + 6 + 9 + 8 + 7.5 + 8)
