Guys yesterday's epi reminded me of the first DID auditions where a 14 yr old girl and performed beautifully but couldn't make it because she wasnt old enough. They had asked her to come back next yr. But the poor girl was so heartbroken after receiving such praises from the judges and then not getting the chance to train with them... Same happened yesterday which is sad that the organizers of DID allow such a thing to happen.

I was shocked when i saw someone putting the contestant ticket on Gauransh... clearly he is not anywhere close to 15 so why was he allowed. I reasoned that to being that since all contestants were performing outside while waiting and the video did show Gauransh putting up a show for everyone to see outside, maybe the organizers felt he should at least get a a chance to show his talent on television. But it must have been clear to everyone that he wouldn't be chosen to compete with the adults especially on a show like DID.

On second thought, I felt that maybe it was a positive thing for that girl to have gotten some sort of confirmation from the judges that she is absolutely DID material. Maybe if she has been turned away from the door she'd have gone home only a bit disappointed but in hopes that in 2 yrs she'll get her chance.. but lot could happen in 2 yrs. Who can be sure there will be a DID in 2 yrs. Maybe her family will not allow her and tell her to focus on studies. She'll be in 10th and maybe her exams will become more important to her. Who knows. But having gotten such a review on her talent from such judges she must feel all the more enthusiasm and passion that dancing is the right choice for her.

What are your thoughts. Should exceptional talent be allowed to audition regardless of age?

I do feel sorry for them and I wish they got a chance but DID isn't easy, it has a very gruelling schedule where sometimes people's health suffers so there needs to be some sort of age limit which the show's organisers think is old enough to handle the pressure that comes with being trained under some of India's best professional choreographers.

I do understand the need for age limit. I infact think that 15 is a bit too young as 15 yr olds are likely in 10th and its a major year for kids and to give them the temptation to go away from school at this ... eh. well they should judge whats more important for them i guess.

But my issue is not with setting an age limit.. its with breaking the same rules they set and allowing people to audition when they are not the right age. It shoudln't be the judges who say no to younger contestants but the contestants should be screened for right age at the door. Judges are there to watch and judge the dance and thats it.

I agree with you JC, what are the ppl who are checking in the contestants and accepting their forms seeing? If age is a criteria then how some of the kids are even allowed inside, why do the judges have to see their dance and then ask their age and say no...this leads to kids being disheartened that they r good but can't be in the show cos they are not grown ups...not fair by the show guys...

Another thing guys, the show's producers know very well that the kid wasn't 15 because when these kids perform in front of the 3 judges then it is atleast the 3rd time they are performing for the auditions.
It's like here in the UK if you want to audition for the X factor you have to go through atleast 4 auditions before being put to audition in front of the judges.
Remember they showed that guy who sold watches near malad station and his friend saying we told all our relatives he got through. Same with the guy who had some problem in his knee where they showed his hyderabad auditions.
So basically they knew he waa underage but they still let the kid come so far to perform knowing that he would get rejected.

Nevermind, I just hope he tries again in a few years when he's old enough.
