Straight from the "What? That show is still on?" file comes word that rapper (and I use the term loosely) Kevin Federline has been tapped to appear in several episodes of One Tree Hill this season.

Federline will play a "cocky rock star," says the drama's publicist.

Filming on the Fox drama begins later this week in Wilmington, N.C., you know, in case anyone wants to drive down there.

One Tree Hill stars Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush; the drama returns in January 2008
