They wanted Jews to forget of G-d and Religion, & be united by land and language. To date, they have raised generations of Israelis who have a deep hatred for traditional Jews & Judaism. The only responsibility for the dead Jews and Muslims is the racist and usurper government of the Zionist state of Israel.Israel is not the country of the Jews. Jews don't need a state. There is something that Zionists ignore: Jews already have many countries in the world where they live. Judaism is not a nationality. Judaism is a religion. Israel can call itself a Zionist state or a Herzlston state, but it cannot call itself a Jewish state.

What I saw were tanks barrelling down residential streets, queues of Palestinians at checkpoints in the searing heat being abused by Israeli soldiers, children being assaulted, homes being stolen by Israeli settlers.I considered myself informed. I read papers daily…

I watched all the political shows - question time, newsnight etc. How did I not know this was happening? What Nakba?And my views were as subtle as a brick: Palestine was a sand pit filled with savages, and Israel had come along and made it democratic and civilised.

It freed me of my ignorance, my colonial mindset, and my inhumanity to the Palestinian (and all colonised) people. I saw Jenin, Nablus, Jabalia camp, Khan Younis - all razed to the ground by Israel.I saw the checkpoints and the Israeli-only roads. I was shot at by the IOF.

F-16s, apache helicopters, tanks - Israel came scorching in with all of them. Everything was exploding, windows were shattering into our building, people were throwing up in terror. And me and a group of Palestinians put on some music and danced. This is how we coped.
