The South African National Team Song

Amaqhawe Wesizwe
(The Warriors of the Nation)

Amaqhawe wesizwe (The Warriors of the Nation)
Nawa e siza (Here they come)

If you can dream
You can make it happen
If you believe
You can make it real
For our players are our warriors
They're taking to the field
For the power and the glory of it all

Amaqhawe wesizwe (The Warriors of the Nation)
Nawa e siza (Here they come)

Here's to our boys
Here's to our nation
Here's to the heroes of today
For all the action
Here's to the team we believe in
To our hopes and to our dreams
As we stand up for South Africa

Amaqhawe wesizwe (The Warriors of the Nation)
Nawa e siza (Here they come)

Kiwis bring in O'Brien for Mills😊
Iain OBrien
O'Brien took two wickets in two Tests against Australia in 2005
New Zealand paceman Kyle Mills will miss next month's two-Test tour of South Africa because of a calf strain.

The 28-year-old has been replaced in the Kiwi squad by Iain O'Brien after picking up the injury during New Zealand A's recent tour of Australia.

The first Test starts in Johannesburg on 8 November, with the Test series followed by three one-day matches.

Mills had just returned to action after overcoming a serious knee injury which had sidelined him since January.

"The selectors are not satisfied that Kyle will be fit enough to leave with the Black Caps Test team next week and decided to remove him from the that section of the tour," said team manager Lindsay Crocker.

"It is hoped that when Kyle recovers from his injury and has some game time under his belt he will be considered for the one-day section of the tour."

O'Brien proved expensive with the ball when he played his only two Tests for New Zealand against Australia in March 2005😊

Hi. I am going to close this topic for the moment and open it when the series starts. This will save a lot of confusion because South Africa is already in the middle of a series.

Pollock recalled by South Africa

Pitch conditions in Johannesburg should offer more help to Pollock

South Africa's leading wicket-taker Shaun Pollock has been recalled for the first Test against New Zealand in Johannesburg next Thursday.

The 34-year-old was dropped for the first time in his 107-Test career for the recent series win in Pakistan.

Captain Graeme Smith said it was a decision to give younger bowlers exposure to difficult conditions.

But Pollock, who has taken 416 Test scalps, has been added for a 12-man squad for the Wanderers clash.

South Africa squad: Herschelle Gibbs, Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, Ashwell Prince, AB de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Andre Nel, Paul Harris, Dale Steyn, Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock.
