Thanks for the tag Good luck to both teams!
Hello and a warm welcome to the 'Group B' fixture between Bangladesh and South Africa. It is the final league game for both teams, and important to note that both are still in contention for the semis.
This is a must-win game for Bangladesh. As for South Africa, a win will take them to the top of the table, but they will also focus on improving their NRR as the scenario of three teams finishing on 6 points look possible at this stage of the tournament. From the slow low surface of Sharjah, where New Zealand recorded a comprehensive win over Sri Lanka moments ago, we now switch our focus to Dubai where conditions appear slightly better for the batters. This will be Bangladesh's first game in Dubai, and they will be wary of the fact that South Africa won both their games here. Toss, team news and pitch report coming up in a short while, stay tuned...
Welcome to our all-green derby from Dubai, as South Africa take on Bangladesh. It's the last match of the Group Stage for both teams. Bangladesh have just one win (over Scotland) from their three matches so far, whereas South Africa won against West Indies and Scotland, but lost their second game to England. Even a win here doesn't necessarily guarantee South Africa place, but a big NRR-boosting win will give them a decent chance.
Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana won the toss and chose to bat first.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, absolutely have to have to win big here to have any hope of making the semi-final, and even their their chances are vanishingly small. If they beat South Africa, then England thump West Indies by a truly epochal margin, there is a chance they could sneak through to the semis on four points and a better NRR than South Africa and West Indies. But we are truly going into mathematical twilight zone here. Toss to come.
Laura Wolvaardt: We are happy to have a bowl, we were in two minds coming into the this game. So much cricket still left to be played in the group, we just need a win and I have full confidence we can do that today. World Cups brings out the best in every cricketer and I am happy I am able to contribute. No changes for us.
Nigar Sultana: We want to bat first. It is a great opportunity for the team to bounce back. We started off with a win, but couldn't continue the momentum. We have one change today.
Teams:
Bangladesh Women (Playing XI): Dilara Akter, Shathi Rani, Sobhana Mostary, Nigar Sultana(w/c), Murshida Khatun, Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, Fahima Khatun, Rabeya Khan, Nahida Akter, Marufa Akter
South Africa Women (Playing XI): Laura Wolvaardt(c), Tazmin Brits, Anneke Bosch, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, Chloe Tryon, Nadine de Klerk, Annerie Dercksen, Sinalo Jafta(w), Nonkululeko Mlaba, Ayabonga Khaka
Pitch report: "Dimensions - 57 and 63 metres square, and 73 metres down the ground. The pitch will help the spinners all through. Using the feet against spinners could prove to be a good tactic on this surface as there won't be much pace on offer," reckon WV Raman and Carlos Brathwaite.

de Klerk to Sobhana Mostary, FOUR, she does manage to pick the slower ball and delay the bat swing for this lovely lofted drive over mid-off. Hit pretty well.
