It's time for the Super Six stage of the 2024 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and we have breezed along to game no.6 as Zimbabwe Under-19 takes on the hosts South Africa Under-19 at the JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom. The hosts South Africa Under-19 courtesy of topping their group have walked into this game high on confidence. The side won a couple while losing 1 to England Under-19 in the group stage. If the last game they played is a sign of things to come then fasten your seatbelts as these young Proteas can blow away any opponent on their day. The side chased down a mammoth total of 269 without even breaking a sweat in just 27 overs against Scotland Under-19 in their last group-stage game. The dynamic duo of Steve Stolk and Lhuan-dre Pretorius at the top is working wonders for them while the middle order is well equipped with quality batters in Tristan Luus, Dewan Marais and David Teeger. The side does possess some destructive finishers and all-rounders in Richard Seletswane and skipper Juan James. Young Protea bowlers have been doing their bit as well as the side has carried a couple of points to the Super Six stage thanks to their victory against the Windies in the group stage. Zimbabwe Under-19 on the other hand sits at rock bottom with zero points to to their name as they were defeated by both Australia Under-19 and Sri Lanka Under-19 in the group stages. The side advanced to the Super Six courtesy of their victory against Namibia Under-19 in their last game. Their batting unit has struggled against the opponents but Panashe Taruvinga came as a ray of hope for them in their last game and the side would be counting on him to lead the batting attack in the Super Six stage against some of the heavyweights in their group. The bowling unit though has been decent enough with Ryan Simbi and Newman Nyamhuri picking up 6 each in the group stage games and skipper Matthew Schonken would be counting on them again. Can South Africa Under-19 continue to impose themselves on their opponents or will we see the first major upset of the tournament? We shall find out when these sides collide.

Welcome to today’s Super Six encounter between Australia U19 and England U19 folks. Australia registered a couple of convincing victories in the group stage as they beat Namibia and Zimbabwe, and they also chased down a target of 200-odd against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, England registered victories against South Africa and Scotland, but West Indies U19 beat them in a close finish. Today it’s a battle between two teams who have some good players in their respective ranks, but who will come out on top? We shall find out soon, stay tuned for the toss and teams..
Captains are out for the toss. England win it and will bowl
Hugh Weibgen, Australia captain: We'd have had a bat, so it works out well. Everyone's played their role well, understand their parts. Oliver Peake and Charlie Anderson come in for Lachlan Aitken and Mahli Beardman.
Ben McKinney, England captain: We've done well bowling first and our spinners have done well. Not spoken much since the WI loss, didn't bat well. We'll move on from the loss. Our spinners are suited to this pitch, Potch is a better batting wicket but we need to adapt. Seb Morgan in for Dom Kelly.
Australia XI: 1 Harry Dixon, 2 Sam Konstas, 3 Hugh Weibgen (capt), 4 Harjas Singh, 5 Ryan Hicks (wk), 6 Tom Campbell, 7 Oliver Peake, 8 Raf Macmillan, 9 Charlie Anderson, 10 Tom Straker, 11 Callum Vidler
