Without Kohli the top order is awesome but middle order suffers.

The solution to this is Drop Kohli and Make KL play play at 5 and Sky at 3. KL here and this would have been 350. Case in point is pre covid matches in 2019-20 season.

The ideal XI at the moment in ODIs is

Rohit

Dhawan

SKY

Pant

KL

Pandya

Jadeja (can be anyone of Iyer/Hooda/Axar/Shardul depending on conditions )

Bhuvi/Chahar (Whoever is available)

Shami

Bumrah

i remember how pooran used to be trolled a lot when he wasn't doing well initially at internationals used to feel bad for him. one thing i like about ipl they notice players potential very well, even when nicholas was yet to be in his best ipl franchises saw the potential in him. i think in wc cant fully recall he has a very good knock.

very positive as captain too, i like his interviews very honest and to the point. he also checked on bd players when they fell sick after the long ferry ride since he was captain of the hosting team. it was really nice of him.

players like pooran, liton das, rizwan these players actually didnt have a very good start in their international career but then did really well afterwards. from india perfect examples r rohit n jadeja, even msd started his career with a duck
