Thanks for the tag Madhuri

I don't follow international cricket except world cups, but I'll try to now because of this thread and reuniting with friends from IPL forum makes it fun.

IF you don't mind, can I ask you where you live and what games/sports you watch (if any) ?

Seedha aur simple language me cricket is a game where you have to protect your three stumps (wickets) from being broken. How you do it the whole point of the game. Sometimes it lasts 3 hrs sometimes 5 days. 😆

You make runs by taking singles, doubles, three runs, 4s and 6s. Singles n doubles you make by running in the crease.

Fielders job is to stop the ball from going boundaries. Bowlers job is to take wickets but sometimes they ball such an angle that batsmen ends up hitting it to 6s n 4s.

T20 is 20 overs (all total 40). ODI is 50 overs(all total 100) and test is 90 overs a day for 5 days.

Now you continue Kavya

@bold: Not only singles or doubles, maximum six runs the person who is batting (striker end) can make by running between the wickets with his/her partner or teammate (non-striker end), which is rare and can happen only in case of 2 or 3 times misfielding in a single delivery.

Striker and Non-striker End

The position where the first person who is batting ( going to face the ball) guards his/her wicket by standing in front of it with at least one foot behind the popping crease( a line behind which batting person has to stand or just one foot on the line atleast while the bowler is bowling the ball to him/her). His/her partner (non-striker end or person who isn't facing the ball by the bowler) waits behind the popping crease at the bowler’s end. The bowler tries to hit the batting person's wicket or to dismiss him/her in other ways.
